Away in Europe Next Year

Was thinking next year is going to be a big year for us away in Europe, with the team we have the now I feel this is our best chance to fit into the 4-5-1/4-3-3 formation. With Commons, and Maloney on the wings and Hooper up front, this gives us great speed, movement and good finishing. In the middle we would have Ledley, Kayal, Brown this would give us good distribution, urgency, engergy in the middle, and all 3 being able to defend, with Wilson and Izaguirre at full back we have good attacking full backs to supply width when Commons and Maloney push in side. Once Centre back and goalkeeper slots have been filled I will be really positive.

Does anyone think the same or am i just being bit daft

 

hopefully but time will tell who we have left and who we bring in not quite the finished article as shown in europe and at inverness last season but hopefully it is somethine the players have learnt from and something they can build on

 

ye need two things to have success on the euro scene.

We had a good team under MON and still flopped away from home. I will not be to confident until we start performing regularly away in Europe.
I would not trust Maloney away in Europe.

 

When does the qualifying start? We need a good preseason under our belt... Hopefully the team doesn't change too much, last season qualifying was the first time some of these players played with eachother

 

Brown should be played to mark wherever the other teams best player is. Tell him to make their life living *.

Remember him doing a number on arshavin at celtic park.

Sammy up top alone. Ledley, Ki and Kayal would be my midfield triumvirate.

Brown on with 20/30 minutes left for Ki if were getting a result, if trailing - Samaras & Ki off, Stokes and Hooper on. Possibly a place on the left for Mulgrew if the opposition have a good right winger. thoughts?

 

The thought of Europe again has me smiling. But I'm betting our qualifier is going to be no easy task, and if we really wanna match the bigger boys we need two new CBs, along with Forster/Westwood. Sammy up top away in Europe will do it, as he can take he ball in from long balls, and bring commons into it.

i think we are good enough to win the europa league and probaly will win it tbh

 

Feel very confident about Europe. Wouldn't play Shaun though. Can't wait to travel this year. Been to loads of away games but this will be the first European one since Seville.

 

No there were a lot of big heads here last season we were going to beat everyone, come back when we have qualified

 

we need to improve defensively a little, particularly in the centre

 

No wingers for me in europe away this year, commons played just behind a target man with brown and ledley out wide, then kayal and another CM in the middle. Possible Ki/Juarez/new honduran guy, and 2 new CBs

just like we did playing rangers going for the draw, nah we need wingers but play a 4-5-1 with 2 holding CM's and ATT CM and 2 wide men to support the lone forward and with having the wide players as an outlet they can also track back and play the fast counter

playing 4 CM's don't work it's like playing 4 CB's along the back 4
