Rest easy, mate. No list will ever be published. They wouldn't have a leg to stand on. They could not possibly ban any published Irish/Rebel song.

Jock Stein also used to instruct the stadium PA to play rebel songs before games to get the crowd going.

Jock Stein was a great man, and an even better football manager however even he could not change the fabric of our Club.

Events in the North of Ireland had a lot to do with it.

Played over the PA? Sure. I remember Sean South Of Garryowen, The Merry Ploughboy, A Nation Once Again & Kelly The Boy From Killane all played before matches.

I've repeated this on here time and time again yet folk still bring up that quote.

Without using quotes, a couple of points.

Celtic were founded on the back British oppression in Ireland so some can gloss it over as much as they want however this is the truth.

There is no current legislation in place which would prohibit these songs.

I can imagine, mate. Big Jock, legend that he was, used to play the media for his and Celtics gain. It's what made him so special.

Don't know if Brother Walfrid would have seen it that way.

If I was in charge at CP, I'd invite Gerry Adams and other Republican leaders to a game and have them on the pitch. He can then thank our Club for the support we gave the Irish Republican Movement during the war.

I would have a monument to the Irish Republican dead outside CP so fans can gather in Glasgow and pay respects to these men and women.

I'd have the Wolfe Tones back on the pitch where they have played before. Before they are too old. I'd also have a Republican Flute Band at every home game.

I'd refuse to be browbeaten, shamed, coerced into hiding our past.

The Deputy First Minister of the Partitionist Government in the 6 Counties is welcomed in every Country in the world as a visiting dignitary and the President of Sinn Fein is a world wide Statesmen yet we are * footing around trying not to offend people over here??? I don't get it.

To a certain extent, some would have been economic migrants.
