Why? Our league isn't exactly a stroll for us is it?

Like to add, I meant we'd be able to afford those players with the extra Sky money. Then, European qualification and the Sky's the limit. :50:

silenzio, totally agree with you.the reasons for allowing the welsh teams into english football, has been made redundant,by the fact there is now a welsh football league.so they should be removed from the english setup,so more deserving english clubs could take their place's.i'd love to see a cup competition, where the better teams are handicapped..i.e man utd vs torquay.and torquay are given a 2 goal start...love to see man utd chase for goals......might be fun what do you think.....

If we ever want to have great players again we need to move, the SPL just restricts our growth as a club. We would have another 70 million at least, on top of our total income in the EPL. To put that into perspective that is 14 players on 100k a week. :56:

Why do some of you guys seem to think we would play this team if we where in the EPL? How much is it EPL teams get from sky, 40 million? Something like 20 times what we and rangers get. How many of the current squad do you suppose would still be here if we where going on a 40 million pound player shopping spree?

Going by that logic why dont we put any old team like Elgin City FC in the EPL and see what their squad is like once they replace all there players. If our current squad is not good enough for EPL then we are not good enough for EPL.

    Beat me to it buddy...

Why doesnt every team in the world all apply to go play in the EPL? Or is celtic extra special that we should get first option?

what happens when scotland votes for independence.or even states that it wants it.the english fa will see scotland as a totally foreign country, and not risk.1.uefa/fifa abolishing the individual home countries. 2.other foreign clubs applying to join. 3.the break down of individual leagues..as i said in an earlier post english attitudes and nationalism are hardening as time goes on.
