I dont think England would be a safe haven tbh. Chelsea, Burnley, Millwall etc etc. There is a massive right wing holligan element in all divisions down there who would go out of their way to attack our fans.

i would love it if celtic decided to pull out of next years spl. it would be a sore year but i'd back the decision. ultimately we should defo pursue all avenues that take us out of the spl equation.

Would LOVE to be out of this * country and * league. Most items in the media outwith Scotland have shown Celtic to be good, honest fans. Someone will like us

Who the * would have us? Don't think for one minute that the Chelseas etc wouldn't try to wind us up the same way! We've been portrayed as an IRA sympathising team.........do you seriously think that they would want us in the EPL? Sectarianism is Scotlands own dirty little problem and no one is going to want to bring it to their own door. We would have to change bigtime and the first thing we would have to look at is our songbook!

We should withdraw from the HFA cup next season and only return when we are given parity of esteem. I dont think withdrawing from the SPL is an option as we would have nowhere to go.

I'd resign from the league tomorrow unless serious * is said by everyone. Who says we would not be welcomed down south in the conference....money talks and they would all be a * of a lot richer. Also League of Ireland....is playing Shamrock Rovers, Bohs etc much worse than St Johnstone or Motherwell? * the SPL and the SFA. * Police spend millions on locking up Tommy Sheridan for alleged perjury but do * all about the threats to our manager??

Lets go....* the board, we will dictate what we do as the fans are the club.

Thats the * part though! they know all about our irish roots and support to them, they definetly would not want all of that in the country.

What? Leave our own country because of the scum element? That means they win. Never give up our country to the bigot element. We dont belong anywhere else anyway.

There are teams down here with an Irish tinge to them. There are a fair few Celtic supporters down here too. There are alot of Irish/Irish desent that supprt English teams that would follow Celtic if they were in the EPL.

The problem is that we are too big. What team in the EPL is going to want another team with 60k + stadium capacity to compete against? We would be massive, we'd have the funds to take the EPL after a couple of seasons, making it much harder for their top 4 to compete for European money.

And the lower teams would in effect face an extra relegation place.

Yeah totally agree. We should also use these incidents next season to make sure no more defeats like the ict one happen again

I doubt that would happen. And if it did, at least something would be done about it.

Can imagine it. Us playing Chelsea at London singing "Ooh Ahh Up The Ra".

    Whatever next. :56:

It's complete fantasy. They do not want us or Rangers (Who love them blindly) anywhere near their leagues and have already made it clear twice now.

I don't deny it would be nice to play in the Barclay's but it's simply not going to happen.

I agree. I know we are not bigots like them but the songbook and general banging on about the RA is going to make us unpopular anywhere in the UK. The bottom line and truth that an element of our fans just stick their heads in the sand about the consequences of expressing support for the RA or other groups fighting Britain. Doing that will always make us hated in Britain. I think a lot of tims need a reality check on this and need to realise that hard line republicanism is only supported by a TINY element in Scotland, probably barely a couple of percent. It will be no different in England. They will be mighty * off as soon as BOTOB etc are belted out. What saves us from unpopularity at the moment is that they generally dont know what the songs are about but when it become known they will hate this about us just as much as we are by the bulk of Scots. Some of the songs sung tonight would not help on bit. Sorry if people disagree but the price of taking a vocal side in a bitter recent historical/political divide is hate and the consequences of hate. There may already be hate there among the deeply sectarian but the in your face political stuff sends that onto another level and greatly widens the proportion of people who see us as RA supporting scumbags. I was hoping over the period since McCann that this element who use our club as a vehicle were being edged out but they are still there and they are contributing to the bitterness of the divide in Scotland. Get real folks. Singing songs like this is not and never will be acceptable anywhere in the UK. If you want a move to a place where these songs and symbols dont offend anyone then it wont be the UK.
