Agree Carrick 94/108 completed passes tonight (87%). 11.42 km covered as well, the most in the team. in the champs league last night .

He might not be every ones cup of a tea but the lad has been a massive part in the fact Man utd have gone on and not let in one single goal in this seasons champions league on the road he reads the game so well screens the back four .

Ki could easily do that for us his passing is up there with the best he is a young lad he could maybe read the game a little more and offer a little more to the defensive side of his game but this was on show v Rangers a real passion desire and work rate to shut down the player on the ball .

you are, i didnt mean cause hes scored goals, but what i say is true, it used to be ki-crosas arguements, ledley was never really mentioned, i just cant think whats changed? his passing game has became simpler if anything

which i dont think is a bad thing, it keeps play ticking.

Ki was crucial in the game at Ibrox when Forster got sent off. He slowed the game down and took the ball from defence and carried forward. Was a real lynchpin

no, again, paddy, im not daft, Ki's passing has been good all season, the 2-2 game at Ibrox was another great passing display, and obviously many others

He was fantastic with keeping possession on Sunday and he was also one of the better players when they beat us 3-1 at Parkhead earlier this season.

Agree the point but Carrick was a lot of people either do not rate him or like him a bit like Ki here but he is a talent and can be vital to the team .

Ki could easily do that job for us and its so vital in Big games having a player like that ie old firm games and Europe which is even more important the lad is outstanding before he went to the Asian games he was running the show for us lets hope he can pick up where he left off now it looks like he will get a run in the side.

His overall pass completion is 89/100 passes this season, so no matter what style he was passing, he has always been passing it well.

I remember a thread at the start of the season when Ledley was still settling in to the team, someone asked what he contributed because the poster didn't notice him and several people replied saying he wasn't noticed as much at first because he rarely ever puts a foot wrong.

Xavi, widely regarded as one of the best passers of the ball in world football, says that to be a talented passer of the ball the key ability to have is to know to look up and see where your teammates are, then pass. This is something Ledley does every time.

Ki probably will end up an important player for us if he continues to progress. He can play the kind of through balls that can open up a defence.

But one criticism I have of him is that his corners are often poor, as they were on Sunday.

Agree he is young and still has a lot to learn from his game but if he was the complete player he would not be at Celtic and would be playing at a much higher level .

Agree i can think on him being good at them before and Watching South Korea they seem to attack his balls much better than us it's a funny one .

Yeah, just looking for it again. I was searching Ledley's tweets as I'm certain he retweeted it. Will link you to it as soon as I find it again.

The more I see of him, the more I think he's actually deep sitting 10, not an all action 8. Definatley not box to box. He'd be great as a 10. Just don't know if we need a 10. Hard to cater for a 10 in a midfield 4. He is a superb passer technically, but seems to linger on the ball a bit too much for my liking. Sometimes its cause there's no movement infront of him, sometimes he's searching for defense splitting passing lanes to open instead of playing a simple ball to feet. Either way, the tendency is that it causes the attack to slow down. Italy may be "receive, control, look-up, take a touch, pass". SPL/Prem is "receive, control, look-up, SMASHED" Also, he seems to lope about a bit. Also, do something about your hair man. You look stupid. Anyway, still not 100% sold he's right for us. Super young talent though.

hes probably going to have a big chance now that ledley is out and to be honest i fancy his chances of doing quite well now that * get a run in the team. he was doing well at about Christmas because he all of a sudden had 5 or so starts in a row so he might just be that sort of player

for some reason I think Ki would be great as a Striker, if we secure the title we should experiment with him and hooper up front
