I think you've worded this poorly, so erm, whit?

Sorry, I just don't know what your point is here. You agree with me but disagree with me too? :43:

you think he's a better passer than Ledley?

That's what I was saying myself.

I ask this because I worded my own post wrongly as if saying Ki was better than Ledley at passing the ball to me :52::52:

    oh my it's late...

I certainly noticed before Ledley switched to the 'keep it simple' style and was more ambitious about his passing, he often gave away possession. I think he is not really a natural at more complex passing. His main plus point I can see is he is good at positional discipline and simple ball retention (in addition can do the odd bit of box to box) but no way is he a talented passer.

you've no actually given a reason for it, you've just repeated the same thing-he can play a diagonal pass.

i've wasted enough time on you.

    - Ki has played fewer games than Ledley so he has most likely a lower pass completion rate
    - Ledley has played more games, more chance of failing with passes.

I feel that stats tell half the story because there's the point with me talking about Ki playing less, but then on the flip-side of that there's more chance of ledley failing- by basic logic- he plays more. So it's hard to compare.

funny that before Crosas left it seemed to be the general consensus that it was between them who was the best passer, with ledley definately 3rd, but suddenly hes not only caught up, but took over Ki in that respect? nah, not buying it

also Ki's passing was pretty much 100% at ibrox, the biggest game of the season, ledelys passing was average, im not saying Ki is a better big game player for one minute, but he showed how classy his passing is in that game, also 2 or 3 perfect diagonals, 1 of which would have set sammy through on mcgregor if it wasnt for sammy's bad control

Wider range of passing. Both long and short. More capable. My opinion.

    don't like it?

    off ye go then :bbpd:

That view is jumping on the wagon to say that people have only notice Ledley as he's bagged a few lately which I dispute, I watched Ledley when he was Cardiff and he's becoming the player he was down there with us.
His passing and overall play was outstanding for them and it's the same for us, I think he's a much more rounded player than Ki in all departments.

you're completely oblivious to the fact Ledley also has a wide range of passing

    fair enough it's your opinion:50:

you're uneducated in the matter...so i'll leave it at that with you:50:

Playing less games in no way means that you're likely to have a lower completion rate.

You don't complete 89 out of 100 passes of the ball in professional football without being a good passer of the ball.

tbf, 100% passing at Ibrox isnt done without being a great passer either

With the before Crosas left comment and the suddenly he's caught up with Ki sentiment, maybe reading a little into your comment though.

    yep that's true actually.

If we're only talking about the time on the pitch from each player- as it is what is relevant and wehre this stat is drawn from, then I suppose it doesn't matter about Ledley playing more and having more chances of making a mistake in passing either then. Yeah, what is relevant only, is what they do, when they play.

but then Ledley could make a fair few simple passes and so could Ki for the stat. But I have seen Ki take many opposition players out of the game with a long-range pass into space far more often than Ledley and long passes are harder to execute.

I don't judge by stats, personally as I believe they don't tell enough of the story, this one certainly does not anyway. I'm not discussing who I think is better as a player anyway, just talking about the passing
