Yes it does. Our club was founded for a certain cause, and that still transpires through today, in the demographics and political ideologies of our support. The shirt means a lot more than say Wigan.

Anyway, I'm not going to bite, you seem like nothing but a troll, if we're supposedly disrespecting your country, then maybe you should watch you don't get disrespectful back and about Celtic.

Celtic has a unique history and was/is a massive focal point for a community

though, I definitely think people feel just as passionate about their own teams. That's sorta part of being a loyal fanatical supporter.

Not to Wigan supporters it won't

I know what you mean in terms of club history and social importance. But ye get those supporters of every team who go week in week out without fail- win, lose or draw

Really? I don't think so. Try telling that to a Wigan supporter. How can you say that your club means more than other club. That is the smugness that I was talking about.

I'm still on tenterhooks waiting to hear why a Celtic fan who hates the Butcher's Apron can't be a good football supporter..................

    And also............

When you go to watch Northern Ireland do you make it known you are a Celtic fan?

I think it's smug to avoid every other point made against your statements and focus on just one part.

I already have answered question one.

To answer the 2nd question, I don't to. It does not matter. I am supporting my country not my club.

Let's be honest here, it's not that it doesn't matter, it's that you would get abused without doubt and chances are you'd get your face caved in :celt_2:

tbf, I think some people would be wary about doing that at Scotland games. They're there to support Scotland.

I get your point though. I don't think it would be a wise move

Nick, I perhaps didn't mean it as it came across.

Every football club in Britain, from Accrington Stanley, Cowdenbeath and the likes to the 'bigger teams' will somewhere, to someone, mean everything, mean the world.

What I meant by my Wigan remark is they are purely a football club. Wearing a Wigan shirt isn't a statement of anything apart from being a Wigan fan.

Whereas I would argue the Celtic shirt symbolises a lot more.

Towelie, what do you do when you hear songs like the Billy Boys at Norn games? As a Celtic fan I couldn't stand it. I suppose it comes down to how much you care about your country in relation to your club. To me, I don't really care about international football, it bores me almost, so Celtic are everything. So therefore I couldn't bear standing with a crowd of huns.

What a truly ignorant person you appear to be firstly on your avatar, and your lack of condenmnation of the "sick" counties which are currently waging a vendetta against the manager of our great club.

I just ignore it. Why should I let these people spoil my fun and enjoyment of watching my country play.
