    I remember him being terrific for us when he first came to the club...I don't know whats happened to him. Surely you are meant to improve as a player and not get worse? Some of the goals in the video show what he is capable of....running from the halfway line or deeper and scoring. Its something that very few strikers could do...you would never see hooper or stokes running from that deep and scoring. Dont get me wrong I love hooper and stokes but I'm just highlighting that Sammy has the potential to be really good but never performs especially like he did in the days of Strachan...

    I also rememebr him putting in a good performance against Argentina in the World Cup for Greece...If he can be dangerous against Argentina why cant he do the same in the SPL, think hes got 2 league goals this season...

    This man completely confuses me...

    He was on fire in 2008 and then he got that injury that put him out for a while.Ever since then he's just not been cutting it.
    I'd quite like the old Sammy back.I've more or less accepted that isn't happening.

    Most of his best goals/games are against teams that come out a little bit and tried to play against us, so he has room to manoeuvre, bit of a problem when 9/10 games we play in the spl end up with the other team totally parking the bus, it really doesn't suit his style of play.

    Same with the World Cup, especially that Argentina game, they were really high up the park so Sammy had a lot of space to run into.

    i think everyone getting on his back in the past has knocked his confidence maybe , we should get right behind the big man and help him find his best form again , i know he can be very frustrating but maybe us the fans need to support him no matter what and show him we beleive in him

    Well it isn't for lack of trying, despite what people may think. The guy hasn't had the easiest of times at celtic; he's been through 3 different managers, in and out the team so many times and had a few injures as well. Plus the majority of fans have been on his back constantly & he seems to be the official skapegoat of celtic.

    Will be remember for scoring two goals against the huns and then getting a 3 year contract on the back of it. Has done little since.

    Hope we can sell him in the summer.

    Simply not good enough. The odd goal here and there and a series of inconsistent performances doesnt cut it as far as Im concerned. And before anyonw mentions him being a hunskelper.

    He was utter pish in the league cup final and kept our top scorer out of the side.

    when hes in the mood hes better than any1 imo , like the 2-0 game if hes in that mood he looks a different class but if he played like that all the time he wouldnt be at celtic its a whole attitude thing and confidence his attitude stinks and hes not exactly buzzing with confidence but tbh if he gets the nod on sunday ill be praying that the good sammy turns up and not the hungover jesus

    You can just tell he canny be arsed when hes playing...for example whenever we score a gaol and sammys playing he doesn't really show much happiness or delight if you know what i mean
