I liked Rasmussen I don't think he got much of a fair chance to be honest. I wouldn't start him in the team but he would be a great sub when in need of a goal

:50: Totally agree. He has real potential. Of all the guys Lennon let go, to me this was the most surprising. He has a lot of time ahead of him to peak, if not as an out & out Celtic player then as a good investment to make some money on.

What he lacks in pace, he makes up for in intelligence.

Think Ras could be the man from some of those away games in winter on a dreadful pitch.

Does he bring anything different to the team that those strikers we have in the squad just now don't have?

Personally I'd get rid of Murphy anyway, Ras or no Ras.

I always thought Rasmussen was a good player. Maybe as pointed out, lacks the pace a little bit but I think that he makes up for that in different areas. I would love to see him paired up with Hooper, or even Stokes. :50: But unfortunately he's probably done at Celtic Park now.

Rasmussen scored two more goals for AaB on Sunday.

Wish he would get a chance at Celtic. I think he could be the striker who comes off the bench for a late goal..........

Would much rather have Ras than Sammy as a back up. A genuine target man who knows where the net is.

You are right, he is slow.. But he always seems to find the back of the net where ever he goes.

Dont think he has a future here just too slow. Seems like a Velicka or Boyd type player will score a decent amount of goals but will hinder the team. Will have a good career for a smaller club that needs that type of player.

    I'm not picky.
I don't think he has really been given a chance to be honest. I think Lenny might give him a chance to see how he gets on. Was he not put out on a year long loan? If so then he's not really had a chance under Lennon in this team. Think it would be unfair really for him to be punted before getting a decent chance. I don't think Murphy or Samaras (or both) will stay for too long and you never know - Rasmussen might be a decent player.

I'd say give him a chance and see how he gets on.

It might not look good - but it counts - hes stats speak for themselves.

Been doing ok on hes loan spree to AaB - and said yesterday that he was going back to Scotland to finish the last 2 years of hes contract this summer.

Providing his wages are reasonable i seen no reason to get rid can be very handy when looking to scrape a goal as he proved more than a few times!.

I honnestly have never seen such a bad football layer at top level football. I.e premier league, celtic or rangers. if Ras cannit get a game infront murphey he wants to hang up his boots!
