Probably not the game for experimenting to be honest.

Lenny needs to be concise in his team-selection for this game more than he has ever been.

Set up similar to the new year game.don't forget the Huns sat in deep in the cup game at the bigot dome allowing us to dominate them.they will set up the same way as the final so we need to be strong.

hardly experimenting when stokes has played more than samaras. playing stokes would be less of a gamble than playing samaras.

I would flood the midfield 4-5-1 if they have mcCulloch fit as much as i hate to admit it if him and davies get a grip of the game it has been our downfall have ledley and kayal screening with brown right sammy just behind hooper commons left will big maj be fit i am not sure the defense picks itself imo if maj is fit wilson maj mulgrew izzy C.T.I.D

Charlie will never be on the bench to be honest.

Rogne got tore apart against Jelavic and hasnt played since, apart from coming on for the injured Loovens.

I wouldnt put a nervous 20 year old in at Ibrox in a possible title-decider facing a player who ripped him apart previously.

Majstorovic plays with Charlie. If Dan's not fit Loovens will play IMO.

4-4-2 ,,with Hooper and Stokes up front ,we need to change against them and these 2 will be too hot to handle for them if the Midfield play like they can ,,Chase the game and let them work ,if you go 4-5-1 it suites them .

the way stokes and hooper have combined at times this season, i dont think playing those two would b an experiment mate.:40:

Combining against Hamilton Accies and combining against Rangers is a different game, different level, a different ball game altogether.

Stokes was the only who one who played against St.Mirren when he was on a booking. That tells you something.

    I trust Lenny's judgement. :celt_2:

Yeah well basically what I was saying is that the only place I can see him being in the team is in the CB position. I cannot see him on the wing or at FB. It may take a big drop in form for him to be dropped but if that happens i cant see him anywhere else in the 11. But, he's been good at cb i hope it continues.

That 4-5-1(or 4-4-1) got us our most convincing victory at Ibrox in about 6 years.

    Just a thought. :celt_2:

    yes agreed.

Mulgrew has suprised just about everyone with the ease he's slotted in at CB.

He doesn't play anywere else in the team though. Not inventive enough.

He probably doesn't start next year though as a higher level of defender will be required for Europe.

    Good back up though.

i think you could get a reward with Sammy up front, maloney in the center with mcourt, 3 at the front, playing behind Sammy, the 2 gifted ball players inside there and around there box, kalal, Commons, brown, with four across the back, with the wing backs feeding the three in the midfield no further than that, then its up to the middle to feed through balls in and around the Dee area only no need for wing play, it never helps our cause just gives them more time to regroup, and defend as its been said many a time wing crosses and corners are never met, so play them through the middle of the park.

    I think
    Forster
    Wilson mulgrew big dan izzi
    Broony kayal Ledley ki commons
    Sammy
Every time we have been better than them we have taken control of the midfield , big sammy can cause them problems and him and ki can provide xtra height plus we can get hoops or/ and stokes on if neede

Exactly, two important games to be deal with before then! Lets win at Killie and make sure we're in the strongest position going into the game, and make sure we cap the season by winning the double!

Aberdeen, Killie wins then worry about the huns!:shamrock:

4-5-1, think we need to dominate the midfield because I thought they over-run us in the final. Only thing about this is the lack of height without Samaras.

    Forster

    Wilson Rogne Mulgrew Izaguirre

    Ki Kayal Ledley

    Brown.................................Commons

    Hooper
