    How do we set up?

This game looks like it could well be a title-decider.

For Rangers - with us having a lead - its must win in my opinion.

We probably dont but of course a win would put us within touching distance.

Im 50/50 about how we go to be honest.

    4-4-2

    ...............Forster...............

    ....Wilson...Maj...Mulgrew...Izaguirre....

    ...Brown...Kayal...Ledley....Commons...

    ..........Samaras....Hooper...........

    4-5-1/4-4-1-1

    ...............Forster...............

    ....Wilson...Maj...Mulgrew...Izaguirre....

    ...Brown...Kayal...Ledley....Forrest...

    ................Commons..............

    ...................Samaras.................

I suspect most posts will be that we should definitely play 2 up top and all that but im not so sure.

We could utilizie Forrest's pace and use Commons off the top as he has the quality do so and a bit of quality in that final 3rd.

Sammy plays in any case in my opinion. Hes hot and cold granted but his performances against Rangers and in particular at Ibrox give him a start.

Either formation we use - our players better be up for it. Because Rangers will.

I'd suggest neither formation is defensive.

The 2nd formation would obviously give us a bit more solidity though with Commons being a bit deeper.

The return of McCulloch for them will significantly strengthen that particular area.

    Still unsure though.

I don't think we have to go gun-ho though.

Naismith and the like could exploit our fragile defense.

Need an improvement on the Cup Final performance that's for sure.

I agree about none of them being defensive.

I would go 4-4-1-1 based on how it worked when it was used last time. We can always change it.

    Maloney's an intresting one.

I think he'd have to show us (and Lenny) a real performance of old before that game at Ibrox to be in with a shout for a start though.

the same team that has worked wonders for us recently. keep that samaras far away from the team. take the game to them, they cant handle us when we play well.

would go with sammy , with commons or maloney or forrest ,but noticed a problem with their defence against us and the sheep, they cant deal with low hard cross into the box between both banks ,we scored using this ,but it was against dons that it became very obvious ,they missed 3 gilt edged chances from poor finishing, think this is an Achilles heel ,no one knows who should clear the danger , anyone else spot this .

    Forster

    Wilson Maj/Rogne Mulgrew Izaguirre

    Brown Kayal Ledley Commons

    Stokes Hooper

hopefully it gets to a point where they are the side that has to go for it. Because that would be new territory for them. Celtic can do almost everything. The shame play one way.

Count Stokes out of starting i think mate.

He was the only one who played against St.Mirren who was on a booking to miss out at Ibrox.

he is our top scorer isnt he? why would anyone leave out their top scorer for the biggest game of their season? samaras would either win it for us, or it would be like playing with 10 men. stokes is a far better finisher and is more likely to score than that useless greek. plus hooper and stokes work well together and that may be the key.

i seriously fear that if samaras starts then he will ruin the way we play.

I'd expect they'll play the same way just with some players returning.

Naismith is dangerous for them. He always seems to have a good game against us.

McCulloch is a massive player also.

    .....McGregor....

    ..Whittaker..Weir..Bougherra..Papac..
    ..Naismith..Davis..McCulloch...Edu...Lafferty/Wylde..
    .................Jelavic............................

With them going 2 up if they're losing but id expect that side to face us.

Samaras will play well at Ibrox which makes them a whole lot more frustrating sometimes i suppose.

well when we play 451? we attack and win the midfield against the *! we went 442 in the cup final and lost! so stick with 451 and destroy the * and enjoy being crowned champions

you dont know this, nobody does, samaras is the least consistent player in the world.

why should we change a winning team? everyone criticised lennon for doing that at home to st mirren. we should play our strongest XI, and samaras doesnt feature in that team and we all know that. the huns will expect samaras, give them a wee surprise. 442 is the way we should set up.

stokes is due a shot against the huns and if it isnt working we can always change it.

we'll see how Mulgrew goes for now

If Rogne was to come back in for him, I think Charlie would drop to the bench. I think he's good at CB but that's where he'll play, only. Could put Maloney or Forrest LW.
