[Link] Majstorovic to Bolton?

When I first seen the thread I thought it was great that someone else was looking at him and we could get some money. Bordering on the old side and has been sloppy on a good few occassions. Then when i did think about it it doesnt seem a good deal. We have a half decent CB that knows the club now and how we play. He is commited in the tackle and doesnt seem out of place against Rangers (the only real competition in the SPL).

If we look at weir at rangers he has adapted his game slightly due to his age and has looked like a cracking CB at times. I think Dan can do the same. His positioning can be suspect at times, but as he settles in with a regular partner that will settle down.

I would still have Mulgrew before him for a starting place. But what we would get for him wouldnt cover what we would lose if we sold him.

 

so celtic did not need the 9,5m then? please don't kid yourself mate it was not down to what you said if that was the case he would have left before he did

celtic needed the money and we cashed in on the guy who could get us the money return

 

talking * is it what about the teams who go down ie newcastle they paid there players the same wage

and we never had to sell Mcgeady we where in debt no european football that ment more debt and lennon had no funds to bring in izzy when Mcgeady left lennon said he will get all that money....

if another experienced defender comes in like Dunne, then i'm all for seelling Majstorovic. i like the big man, but he isn't going to get any younger. still think we need another centre back to go along side Kelvin Wilson coming in anyway.

 

i'm talking *? tell me which team there is the championships team like you mentioned in your previous post. How about I'll take the blinkers off when you do your homework

We got Maj for a free and while he plays in my Celtic defense ATM (which probably tells ya how much i think of our CB depth) he would get exposed in Europe and ultimately cost us.

I cant see Bolton wanting him anyway.

Bougherra seems more logical.

 

If the £2 million that has been reported would get Dunne then i'd happily sell Maj for about the same but unless we had a replacement there is absolutly no problem with big Dan for now

I love Big Maj but realistically if we can get a mill or two for him then it would be a steal.

did not see boro get rid of boyd even thought he is on loan and boro are paying some of his wages, thompson, skippy, robson, big mick they are still on good money

im * off whith this obsession in making a profit on players big dan is superb and if sorry not if but when we win the league we will have won it because of his efforts he is a great centre back and we should build the team around him
