That is a rumour. The interview with Lennon suggested he was being looked at as a replacement for Mjallby. Lennon leaving shifted the goalposts.

He is an egotistical *. They didnt seem to want me enough he says. *. I certainly didnt. Sounds like he wanted Celtic to beg The Great Roy Keane to be our manager. Him bein such a great manager an all. :87:. You can bet if we had the same set of results with Keane in charge he'd have walked away by now. He's good at that.

    Seems to be standard practice.

"So far three have rejected the job so now we're on to our 4th choice".

Not gonna see that anywhere are you.

And supposedly he was told by NFL and Johan, then you have a man called Dan who said he was offered the job,but he spoke to a previous manager.

See the thing is,Dan,Roy,Henrik and anyone else who said they were offered the job,are liars.

For we all know that Ronny was Peters first choice:bbpd:

Keane has told us how Celtic did not want him enough. What he has not told us is how much he wanted to go. I suspect the only pull for him toward Celtic was what he would get out of it.

He said he regarded as a job you can't turn down. That we persauded him otherwise is down to us.

I didn't want him as a manager here but that is pretty damning on the board.

Yet he turned it down. Why has he left us in the dark to the reasons? I would think that if he objected to any particular he would have spilled the beans. I suspect it would have more to do with his personal terms than transfer budget.

I am not defending the board they have already prove their credentials by twice failing to provide the funds to at least improve our chances of playing in the CL this season.

Why do you think Larsson knocked the job back? I'm going to hazard a guess and say it was probably for similar reasons to Keane.

If I were to hazard a guess I would think Keane would have turned down the job due a personal package where Henrik might have been more concerned with the transfer budget. Just my opinion.

    Celtic Dictatorship

The latest comments from Roy Keane about Desmonds half hearted attempts to offer him the managers job are yet another sign to me of the dictatorship thats now running the club, namely our supreme leader Desmond and his puppet Lawwell.
Telling Keane the job was his and then listing out a list of conditions one of which being they had already chosen his assistant manager, their man on the inside, I think we can be fairly sure that was Ronny Delia.
Its been getting worse for some time now, banning certain members of the media from press conferences and in some cases from celtic park altogether if they dared to comment negatively on some of the inept performances.
Lawells orchestrated media assault after we were knocked out of the CL for the second time by Maribor, he came out and gave so called 'interviews' in every paper, the celtic website, on celtic tv and on the radio, the only thing was that the questions were the exact same in every one as were his calculated and rehearsed answers, it was clear to me that he himself had carefully scripted the whole thing and written the questions himself.
These two seem to be running the club similar to Kim Jong Uns leadership of North Korea!
And the worst part about it is I cant see any way we can do anything whatsoever about it anytime in the near future...
