Roy Keane

Seems alot of rubbish to me. DD says "the job is yours" with no mention of wages of anything. Assuming DD was not negotiating terms he was just given the idiot the green light to contact PL regards the job.

Perhaps DD say we need a good man for the managers job and Keane believing he is the only good manager in the world assumed he was offering him the job. This guy operates on a different level, there is reality and Keanes perception of reality.

 

Bombs couldn't chase Neil Lennon from the Celtic job. Literally.

dd whether hes the main shaerholder or not should not have got involved unless hes the cheif exec hes only a board member annoys me some times he thinks because he saw something in martin oneill that he thinks he can pick a football manager i beleive johan mjallby should have got the job barca and other clubs seem to give it to someone who was at the club why do we not do it

 

Quite depressing how no one wanted this job. Chuffed we didn't get Keane right enough.

 

The budget for players was the stumbling block I would presume, look at keanes history has spent money at the clubs he has managed,

 

larsson would have been told not to go near it by lennon and mjallby

Not really, if he gets asked to offer an honest opinion and does then that would be bang out.

Keane wasn't just stressing wages, either. He mentioned clauses in the contract that the LMA lawyer thought was weird. Also, they were non-negotiable which is complete bullshit. I'd be *, too.

Would take Keane in a heartbeat right now. At least he'd get right into the team and inject some passion into the side.

 

I'm not too surprised Roy refused it. He'd have been shocked when he saw the actual budget we work with and would most likely have been angling for a job in the EPL already without coming here.

Still worries me that 2 Celtic legends didn't want to work here any longer and another refused the job when he had the opportunity.

 

I hope you'e not referring to Roy Keane as a Celtic legend.

 

Keane is a an absolute *. He is one of the very few people that I would have downright refused to support as Celtic manager. A despicable human being who should be banned from football for life. He's also a * manager. So I'm glad he never got the job.

I don't like the sound of DD running about offering the job to any yahoo he likes without it going through Lawell first.

The good thing about this is, Keane accepted an assistant manager position over the Celtic managers job, and that for me that will always be the reason i would never have him any where near us in the future, not that i ever wanted him taking the job in the first place.
