Loved him as a player but he is undoubtedly a miserable sod at times, angry at everything.

I don't think he is having a go at the Irish fans, more the players.

I think he is basically saying instead of praising the fans they should be winning games for them to reward their support.

He has no point,he is a slabber.

We are a small nation, punching above our weight, and the supporters are regarded by many as the best in the world, create * all hassle and just enjoy themselves.

"* up paddies" not really, just lads enjoying a drink and enjoying themselves.

We are never going to be in contention of winning one of these tournaments.

    To qualify is an achievement.

Roy Keane is just being a Slabber as usual.

He was a great player, undoubtedly, but he is beginning to annoy me with the constant stream of * he is coming out with.

The supporters who went to the Euros done so using their own * money and if they want to sing, they can sing. Who the * is he to tell them what to do and what not to do? It is the responsibility of the players on the pitch to really give the fans something to sing about and it speaks volumes about how great the ROI support is, when they're still having a great time whilst losing 4-0 at a major tournament to the World and European champions.

He did have a point, in what he was saying just because you are a small nation at a high class tournament you still should have the mentality to win, he was saying the fans deserved more than just to come to tournaments like this for a sing song.

You really think the players were not trying to win ?

He has not rite to tell lads and lassies who have spent a fortune to change their mentality.

If the Irish support had a Mentality like Roy Keane, then they would not bother going to the tournament.

He is just being a mouthy *.

This, he does have a bit of a point but he seems like he just wants to be angry at anything.

He would only be happy about our fans singing if we * won the thing, he even said he didnt get the massive celebration when we beat Italy in 94, he's a just a bit mental.

I guess, I agree with the point that basically we shouldn't settle for what we've seen at this tournament. Croatia are roughly the same size in terms of population and they play great football and are up to 8th in the FIFA world rankings.

And maybe if Trap picked our young talented and skillful players like Coleman, Hoolahan (ok he's 30), McCarthy, McClean, Gibson, Clark, Stokes more often then we wouldn't give the ball away every 3 seconds after getting it back.

We can combine passion and commitment like we've shown against Russia and France recently with passing the ball and encouraging our players not to be afraid to play football.

However with the team that Trap has picked we are punching above our weight. Paul Green should be nowhere near the national team, Duff and Dunne are too old. Keano (Robbie) is a legend but cannot be a solo striker relied on for everything. And we have better centre mids than Whelan and Andrews as well. maybe ONE of them holding.

In saying that, I think we still have punched above our weight in getting here, and probably couldn't have expected too much in the group we have. And Roy Keane of all people should not be spouting the sh*te he constantly does....

The fans were amazing, the players who did go there, gave everything they had to the cause and just weren't good enough.

But I still stand by that we have younger players who have skill (not to the extent of Spain or Italy of coarse), but skill nonetheless and need to be given their chances.

The fans made me proud to be Irish,* him if he dosn't like our mentality then he can go support England. He has a cheek to critisice any thing about the fans or the team after Saigon
