Yes...he may very well be a good manager, but he failed most where it mattered, AT OUR CLUB!

And he failed so momentously that a rookie manager with no experience has replaced him and is doing a better job than him.

    I take it your inflatable?

:56: Okay...fair enough. I personally would not call anyone who had a positive influence at Celtic, and loves the club a "cuntface". I do understand everyones point how * he was though albeit I dont believe he did it on purpose!

Naw, he might not have done it on purpose, but he still has to bare the brunt of fan anger at how weak and limpless his totally inept team where....and how he set us back, rather than make the advancements that he no doubt promised the board, as well as fans.

Didnt know what to vote. Think its pretty crap how comes out and moans about money after the amount of money the club paid for him to join with Grant and Venus, on top that he managed to waste money on nearly every player he signed. I never wanted him as manager in the 1st place but like every manager I give them a fair crack of the whip, the reason I never wanted him as manager was because he threw the towel in against rangers the day we lost at motherwell, it was our fault we lost the league that day but I just thought that a manager that tells his team to stop playing with 20/30mins left hasnt got the heart of a winner and not the making of the Celtic manager. Thats my personal opinion on the manager. As a guy he was a wonderful guy and a real family man but that counts for nothing when your getting humped 4-0 off St Mirren:54:

Has a lot of good history with the club from his playing days but after the sheer depths to which he took us last season he should never be near Celtic again.

He * me off big time when he came out in the paper moaning that the flack he was taking from the fans for his abysmal performance as a manager was having an effect on his family.

Did he resign? Did he *!! :38:

I understand that not every manager out there is in the MON/Lennon mould in regards to their touchline behavior however no Celtic manager should ever be seen sitting with his head in his hands time and time again when we are getting hammered, especially when one of those hammerings are given to us by St. Mirren.

One incident sums up Mowbray - We're playing the huns in a vital derby game in Paradise and that hun thug Lafferty performs a sickening challenge on Andy Hinkel. Any Celtic manager worth their salt would be up in arms about such a challenge. What does Mowbray do ? He winces and turns his back on it, saying absolutely nothing. A gutless coward who let everyone walk all over the top of him.

    Fair enough mate.

My own personal preference is also for a manager to behave in the way Martin O'Neill did rather than Tony Mowbray's passive touchline demeanour. I never held his touchline demeanour against him though, I kind of get the feeling that some people just used that as a stick to beat him with and for me that is wrong.

Tony Mowbray had enjoyed success as a manager by being passive in the dugout before he came to Celtic so really his touchline demeanour had * all to do with why things didn't work out for him at Celtic.

In my opinion Tony Mowbray failed because he changed too much too soon. The turnover of players was too high in too short a space of time. I'm sure if he had his time over he would do things differently but that's life.

I still have a lot of time for the man and wish him well in all his future endeavours.

Dalglish is one of the greatest players to pull on a Celtic jersey. If Larsson takes the job and mightily * up he would be treated the same way.

Mowbray was getting the same way until he tried taking some sort of potshot at the club.

You have to remember that kenny dalglish really was screwed over by the club, unlike mogga. He was promised the managerial position and at the last moment it is instead given to barnes who has no experiance and kenny is just a member of his staff. After barnes is fired again kenny is given no power whatsoever and basically lied to about what is situation is. Mogga was just a horrible manager who lied to the club and the fans

Had respect for him, even when he left. But this stupid financial thing has went on long enough, what a *. Being a football manager is no different from any other job in this aspect: IF YOU'RE * YOU'RE LET GO. Who is he to think he deserves a payoff?! Haha, glad our club stuck up for itself. He wasted millions of our money on crap players anyway. /rant

    What??

It was Kenny Dalglish's idea to appoint John Barnes.

And how exactly did Tony Mowbray lie to the club and the fans?

Ironic that as your handicap was coming down you increased ours by lumbering us with that doughnut Barnes. :icon_mrgreen:
