Jack Daniels and Coke and Jaeger Bombs mostly.

Jaegers usually kill me the next day but I'm feeling smashing.

I used to get brutal hangovers over that stuff and swore off it.

The only spirit I drink regularly now is vodka. The hangovers are far easier on it.

I'm like that on whisk(e)y. Haven't drunk it in years as a consequence.

Funny how different spirits affect people differently. Over the years I've learnt the hard way what is good for me and bad for me.

 

I know the feeling mate; my brother gets like that as well on it. My mum and dad are happy drunk on Vodka; always found it strange.

Woke up after a family wedding one day black and blue after me and my brother were on the vodka; apparently kicked * out of each other; neither of us could remember a thing

 

I don't get violent when I'm drunk - although some friends do - but I do get manic. Everything seems a good idea and I wake up three days later at the other end of the country with no mobile, no shoes, cuddling a traffic cone.

Sort of thing.

 

I get like that with some drinks; I once woke up with a mannequin in my room.

Vodka I'm a right nasty * though. Took me a while to figure that one out.

 

Even now, after all these years, it's still shocking some of the mood swings you see when people drink.

 

Definitely; I know a boy who barely says a word when he's sober; when he's pished he's the life of the party. It's mental the change of attitude it can have in people.

You also get the people who just turn evil on it.

 

Aye, know plenty like that. People who get violent are the worst in my opinion. If you get violent when you drink then you shouldn't drink. Unfortunately I know a fair few who drink in order to let them "get it out".

Generally when it comes to mood swings and drinking I think there are a number of factors at play: what mood you're in when you start drinking (i.e., good or bad, up or down), what mood you're aiming for (manic or mellow, why you're drinking (to celebrate something or as a distraction), who you're drinking with (if you're drinking with responsible friends or nutters), what you're drinking (i.e., a few pints or a sesh including that spirit that you know makes you go off on one), how tired you are etc.

I'm jealous of you'se. When I wake up after drinking I can remember every aspect and never wake up in some * up situation that would later end up a hilarious story
