Kelvingrove is the place closest to me and its really nice tbh, you're within walking distance of town and its a good area, not much neds and gang trouble. Cause its in the West end there's lots of pubs and restaurants etc. Also it's like 3 minutes drive from the motorway which means you can get to parkhead quickly! I can't really comment on Cessnock/Kinning Park as I only know their names from the Subway :56: but Kelvingrove is closest to the City centre from where you've mentioned (bar actually living there of course)

nice and thats my #1 area to be in, just hard to find a cheap roomshare or flat as uni's started already. as a kid i was always running about the transport museum, art gallery, ect. i love that side of town. im hoping to end up there but we'll see. i cant wait to get to a hoops game, been dying to go for ages.

cessnock/kinning park i know the most as i would stay there with fam every time i visited, so i know the shops transport links ect. tho ive been told that its started to go downhill there recently. a nice chunk of my fam live in bellahouston or penilee areas now

Yeah, I always thought of Kelvingrove to be a 'posh' area (it is basically) and Kinning Park to be a 'not posh' area. Kelvingrove and the West end is the poshest/nicest bit of the city, but that doesn't mean its best to stay there.
