So he's either realised his mistake and is going damage control now or The Sun have made this whole story up in which case Anthony's lawyer should be on the case and at the least a retraction should be printed.

I just do not buy that his agent (Dad) is talking to the papers and giving them quotes like these without his prior knowledge.

 

Its just the papers trying to add insult to injury. I doubt he wants to go anywhere.

Quality player, he's yonger than hooper, has more goals than hooper and more assists i think as well but hooper gets all the praise.

I'm not knocking hooperman, just think the fans should praise him the same as they do with hoops, the two of them upfront are at points unstopable.

Hooper + Stokes = Win
Sammy + anyone = Fail

Folks John has asked me to post the truth in relation to that "interview"

Firstly he is not Anthony agent - reporter made that up!

Secondly he never said Anthony should hand in a transfer request - reporter made that up!

He was gutted that he even spoke to the reporter but caught him off guard as was straight after the match when we were all in height of it, he did say that Anthony was top scorer and should been brought on to try get us a goal. The reporter said that he would put in paper about the thousands of euros raised on the day for the Good Child Foundation but didnt see that in the interview.

He rang Neil Lennon to apologise!!!!

'My dad is bigger than your dad!' I know he is his agent but it is a bit much to wash your dirties in the Sun of all newspapers! He should have gone to the Management team to discuss this matter. No one is bigger than the team and he always looks hacked off whenever he gets subbed or is a sub! Don't get me wrong, I like him and think that he can do a job for us but he needs to grow up. I'm glad I read this whole post! I think after the Huns scored that 2nd goal stokesy should've came on and we should have went 433 all out attack. I think it was a bad decision to bring paddy on to be honest. Felt most of the players yesterday were just not up for it. Izzy and Ledley are the only players that seemed up for it aswell.

 

I'm happy that Stokes is happy to fight for his place. He definitely deserved to be brought on but I'm sure he'll prove to Lennon over time that he can be trusted in the big matches.

 

apparently, his dar isn't even too involved in his career issues- and therefore not placed to make such comments. supposedly he has came out and said he didnt say these things

I think most celtic fans feel he should have been on at some point in the final,hopefully Lenny now gives him a run of games especially when Hooper gets back fully fit. As for Mr Samaras,he should be back on the bench full time,imo.Stokes and Hooper up front will get us the goals to win the spl.
