Well there is no question we do need a quality striker that can score on a regular basis.
VoH may not be that striker if indication is he wont play enough games because of injury?
Zurawski is too lackadaisical for me, he doesnt have enough bite in his game, not too bad a player, but I dont believe he has the potential to score regular.
Miller I feel sorry for the guy, he deserves his place on the team at the moment, and I have reservations in saying that, but in the long run he doesnt have the regular goal scoring quality.

Let me use Saha as an example, because I was watching him against Benfica, I thought at one time in the game, he is a verygood striker but has been off form lately, well guess what he scores a great header see this is what I mean lethal thats what we need.

What one of Miller's finishes this season have been convincing?

I'd say the one against Benfica, thats it!

    He's had a scuffed penalty, he's missed a penalty!
Tap ins against Benfica and Killie
    Against Rangers was ok

You could make a full length film of the sitters he's missed this season! He's ok to have as a squad player in the SPL, but there is no doubt we need a striking partner for the big man.

    I agree.

I'm also confused as to why everyone is all of a sudden getting on Miller's back. I didn't see the game last night but I do understand that Miller missed a couple of chances. As far as I know (and like I said I didn't see the game so I could be wrong!!) he wasn't solely responsible for the defeat and even if he'd scored, we still let in 3 goals!

The team as a whole aren't playing well at the moment. At least Miller tries and, as the saying goes, try and you will succeed. :celt_2: (or something like that!).

Well said millerghirl. He had finally added scoring to his game and looked a fantastic striker for a few weeks before his run was interupted and he lost his shooting boots. I tip him to hit another run of 3 or 4 goals in the next few weeks.

I have stated what I think of Miller when he signed, i'm just not bothered repeating myself in every thread that talks him up or puts him down. We are now roughly half way through the season and I'm far from impressed.

strikers isn't what we need. personally i think we need defenders. with Caldwell and Mick out for a while, we're desperate for them and Bobo's not in good shape too if you get my drift.

There's nothing wrong with Miller, him and JVOH work great together i think. I think they work better than Miller with Magic or JVOH with Magic. It's like what happened with Gary, after a mistake or two, you shouldn't blame it on players. They're trying and need our support!

Like you say, the stats don't lie but they don't show his workrate, he's like a wee terrier! However I'm sure that Kenny is well aware of the stats and is desperately trying to improve. I've just got a feeling that if he gets a good run of games together and gets his confidence up then he will be fantastic. I think having JVOH back and hopefully being able to build a consistent partnership with him will help.

He's not a starter, not good enough most of the time, and only has flashes of when he plays good

Pointless aguament. McGeady, Maloney and Miller are all very good players when on form. Add Naka and JVOH to that and...well, we should be counting our blessings. One thing that has anoyed me is playing one striker up with JJ just behind. If you are only playing one striker (and I wouldnt do it too often) then you have a chance to play Maloney, McGeady and Naka all at the same time and that would be worth seeing.

Miller lacks consistency, even in the SPL
