    It is flag of Brittany, in France. I don't know what is in the centre. It is some CELTIC symbol, but I do not know meaning of it.

    And you can see flag of Asturias between Ireland and Isle of Man. Does anybody know FOR SURE, are Galicia and Asturias CELTIC terrytories? It is said that these terrytories have elements of CELTIC tradition and legends.

    The Cedar Tree of Lebanon.

    Lebanon Flag symbolizes the national pride of the country in the Middle East. The Flag of Lebanon has three horizontal stripes, a white band in the middle of two red ones. A cedar tree is at the center of the white band of the Lebanese Flag.

    Adopted on the 7th of December, 1943, the Lebanon Flag represents the spirit of the Republic of Lebanon. Lebanon adopted various designs of the Flag at different points of time in the past. The Flag ultimately adopted by the Lebanese Government has a significant meaning.

    The red color in Lebanon Flag stands for the blood of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country. The white in the middle of the Lebanese Flag symbolizes the eternity, peace and purity. The green cedar tree is the symbol of Lebanon. It signifies the steady and immortal nature of the country.

    the St Andrews flag explanation above

    I was under the impression that when St Andrew was being crucified he said he didnt deserve to die in the same style of cross of jesus so the cross was changed to suit his wishes (ST Peter went upside down I seem to recall) google it and find that I seem to be right

    then again you get so much mythical mumbo jumbo fired at you it tends to melt together....................

    THIS IS ABSOLUTLY CORRECT ABOUT ST. ANDREW AND SAINT PETER. I learned it in school.BUT I REALLY LIKE THE LEGEND I WROTE ABOUT, SO I HAD TO WRITE IT.
    Butan, Mozambique (like almost all African flags) and Tibet , of course, are beautiful.
