    Dr REID has taken a bit of criticism from the hun establishment, and on this forum lately.

    I can't think of anyone better placed to support our manager and challenge the sectarianism our club faces.

    He's a political juggernaut that politicians fear and I'm glad the Scottish Parliament are getting involved in Lennon v The Scottish Establishment War.

    Since our Clubs Inception we've battled The Establishment. which has mirrored the plight of Irish immigrants and their descendants battle to find our place Scottish society.

    In John Reid we've really got 'Blairs Bulldog' and whatever we think about Blair, Reid has dealt with issues much bigger than this!

    I for one don't have a problem with John Reid....he is after all a Celtic man and Celtic are all that matters,as long as he's doin' a good job then i'm happy.

    john reid is just another suit at celtic park to me. i dont kno about his past. but if hes fighting neil lennons corner then hes ok in my view. never really been for or against him but now im definetly in favour of him for fighting neils side

    As I say in every single thread regarding him, he is a juggernaut when it comes to defending his corner. Give me Reid by my side every day of the week when it comes to batting away ridiculous accusations or removing cancerous elements of the national association with consumate ease. He knows what he wants for Celtic and he will be unyielding in his pursuit of it off the park, in the very same way Lennon is on it.

    Martin Bain and David Murray are a walk in the park to Lawwell and Reid, they * them at every turn.

    its comments like this that make me laugh, you cant judge a man for doing his job, imo Reid is doing a good job upstairs a credit to the celtic board
