a dont think any1 can question lennys love and commitment to the club but he has a child and a fiancee and these are his priority when things like this happen. a dont think his fiancee would ever have been in a situation like this and a believe if he didnt have a fiancee or a kid that he would stay but its only football and as much as it might be * heads you never no when these people could do something real. but if he did leave it will kick up a * storm and we will be sent back to the dark ages and that wont be good for any1. the government need to nip this in the bud and alex salmond needs to get his head out his * and leave the football to the governing bodies and take a look at this and do something now

These folk need to be dealt with and swiftly.

Lennon should not Under any circumstances be made to feel endangered. No man should.

If Neil quits (& I'd understand if he did) then things in Scotland will go from bad too worse because there's a real sence of Lennon being on the verge of something special-perhaps historically so and our fans will not be best pleased.

I personally don't think he will quit. That said though something really needs to be done asap before something physically happens and unfortuneatly this is a real possibility with the tensions mounting.

Really hope this is a fight he can win.. For the Scottish game as much as my own shelfish reasons.

    Hail hail Neil Lennon.

if the police wont do anything, then the fans should go down to the car park in support of lennon and tell the board to grow some balls, to put pressure on the ploice to give lennon protection he needs.

like giving a manager death threats wouldn't happen much in eastern europe, because the fans would go mental and become the managers personal security. but i guess in scotland its a different story.

the threats could possibly see lennon step down..id hate for that to happen.

Yeah but from neils point of view you can't protect one man all of the time.

That's no way to live anyway. Arrests need made folk made examples of a hard stance that it will not be tolorated!

But naw... They'll escort him around on match days and that's that.

Lennon himself might not back down but how much of this can his wife take ,This is,nt a normal life for a young family to be growing up in and it really shows up the culture of the West of Scotland if something gave with this .

I think we might see a very different Neil Lennon from now on in ,yes he will celebrate in his normal way but getting involved in trival matters i think will now be left to Thompson but the big plus for Celtic supporters in this is ,i really dont see him been beaten by basically rangers thugs who are trying to drive him away but family bonds are far more stronger than football ,i just hope this tones down and he gets on with being the Top Man at Celtic.

I am not sure how i felt when i read about him considering his future. On the one hand i hope he sticks it out in defiance and put's it across he won't give in but on the other hand if i was him i'd put my family first and walk away. Afterall Lennon and his family are now under constant threat. It'd be enough to break any man. He's had over a decade of this bullshit. I think the guy sums up what Celtic is all about but i'd fully understand if he walked away. We all know the real reason all this happens but it's been left too long. A families life is at risk all because Lennon is representing celtic, catholic and from northern ireland.

Having said all that action needs taking NOW to put a stop to all the problems surrounding it. Scotland has sat on it's hands for too long on bigotry issues. We all know Scotland is a majority protestant nation due to the numbers involved but that doesn't mean the anti catholicism should continue to be swept under the carpet. I think it's being purposely ignored as the snp don't want to lose votes and the media don't want to lose paper sales so religious intolerance is not tackled.

Celtic is one very large family. We now have a voice and an opportunity to make a difference. The question is do we sit and put up with the "usual" or make a stand against it. I'm not catholic myself so it doesn't personally affect me but i'm not blind to whats going on. Action needs to be taken before lives are lost.

Clearly these 'threats' are a message for Neil Lennon to "Get to *".

We have already witnessed Neil having to quit something due to threats against his life (ocuupied states false national team).

Although Neil is 100% Celtic, and so clearly passionate about the team, family comes first and I have no doubt in my mind that if his wife at any point tells him enough is enough then he will understandably quit Celtic.

Should this happen, I for one shall be demanding some sort of petition to formally disassociate Celtic from Rangers, in ALL FORMS!

It shows the measure of these vermin that segments of their support have to resort to manifested threats against our players and staff, just because the balance of power is shifting.

Will the press be able to continue this charade that "we are just as bad as them"?

The answer is no. It has been evidently proved, especially this season, were we are constantly singing songs about the team, as well as songs about our clubs heritage, whilst they still have to resort to songs about ethnic cleansing, torture, false peadophillia claims religious bigotry.

They are a disgrace, and these moronic psycopaths who are sending these death threats to Lennon, are clearly mentally challenged as they must think they are in an alternative society that believes they can use violence to remove a figurehead from a sporting team FFS. Definite social deviants of the highest order.

The amount of un-necessary violence Neil has encountered since he first set fott in Scotland is unjust and disgusting: from verbal threats, graffiti on his property, vile websites set up to encourage his MURDER, physically assaulted, death threats against him and his family........not one person could fail to empathise with him should he be forced to leave.......

    * sad day in the world.........we CANNOT allow our fans and OUR CLUB to have ANY association with Rangers FC, or their vile support any longer!!!!!!!!!

Reid will not even consider getting rid of Lenny. He's a pigheaded stubborn little * of a man and he wont let anyone get the better of Celtic FC irrespective of what the fans think of him. Reid in my view is a man who will not back down to terrorism and make no mistake that is what this is.

I would hope to see a mass demonstration being organised by the support to bring the disgraceful development to the forefront of all relevant bodies in authority, be it the SFA, the SNP, the Police Commissioner and whoever else.
Enough is enough, demos have been organised before for much less serious issues than that what is now happening . It is totally incomprehensible that this can happen in what is supposed to be a modern multi-cultural society.
The media want to focus on a handbag issue between Lenny & McCoist but are less interested in repeated threats of murder, they may report it but none of them have added an editorial scandalising that such threats should evolve from a football match.
I repeat a mass demonstration is what is needed to bring this disgraceful situation to the forefront of the British public and in doing so shame the mentality of the hun degenerates.
We all respect and support Lenny for what he has achieved on the field of play, he needs us now more than ever to show that this level of support will not be confined to 90 mins of football but will be taken onto the streets.
The evil that is being manifested of late must be driven out of the daily life of a family trying to live a normal life.

Where did I say they would sack him? Stop making things up to suit your own counter argument. I said they may suggest he leave, purely for his own safety.

Lennon will never be forced out by the bigots. Do you think the same things didn't happen to him as a player?

Its catch 22, he leaves they win but that doesn't guarantee it stops. He stays then * forbid someone gets hurt.

These people that run these facebook hate campaigns though should be prosecuted as they are going to end up killing someone with their irresponsible and vile behaviour.
