The Man U and Liverpool Connections

Discussion in 'Celtic Chat' started by Chu the tim, Mar 3, 2011.

  1. Anyway can someone explain to me that connection between Man united and Liverpool and whether its about the Irish disporia in both cities? And why if where meant to be friendly with both, they yet they slag our manager and club at every chance and yet borrow our songs? i know a lot of people who post on here post on red cafe and red and white kop so would someone explain how they hate Neil lennon so much?

im sympathetic and have a soft spot towards liverpool, and im * if im going to let a few idiots spoil it for me but after reading thier forums, especially after the old firm games, and thier general reaction to Celtic in general it does surprise me and i wonder where this comes from giving how sound we have been to them in the past.

  2. * them, I have to put up with * from their 'fans' every day, slag off Celtic and the SPL at every oppurtunity.

    I hate them both.

  3. I've got none...

    * hate Man Ushited and have no affinity to Liverpool.

  4. Most do not give a * about Celtic most Liverpool fans like huns the better , but most of them do not give a * about Celtic or Rangers at all.

  5. Hate both of them. Neither have any link to Celtic or Ireland.

  6. This is all quotes from one page on rawk (which i used to post in)

'What a bunch of utter *, on both sides, but especially Diouf. What an utter gobshite of a man,.'

I raise you Neil Lennon, now theres a face you couldnt get bored punching''

Lennon is * scum as a manager and a player and so diouf is worse than that
    * morons, the lot of them. Good luck to the police mopping that up.

I saw very little of the football (insert gag about me watching the whole game here). Fair result? What was the early red for?

I absolutely hate Neil Lennon, a first class thug and WUM.

  7. As i said most like Huns better and most hate us both . most respects us for the support from Hillsborough but that is all.

  8. Soft spot for Spurs at the moment. Got a lot of time for 'Arry!

  9. Maybe some fans started following these teams when some of our players signed for them. Kenny, Macari, McClair etc

  10. * them both. No irish connection, particularly Man U. I can kind of understand Liverpool, since you can only sail to Dublin from Liverpool and it is the closest UK city to Ireland (I think).

  11. he's a dodgy *

the liverpool thing is down to celtic being the first side to invite liverpool back to football as a club after hillsbrough. Fickle, stupid and uneducated people can't see that. it doesn't have to be a huge love-in. But a nice appreciation in remembering this gesture on their part would not go a miss.

Nowt to do with man U at all. Nothing to do with Liverpool really- except that^

  12. ...in a Del Boy kinda way??? Coz' if so, then I can kinda see ur point.

  13. * both of them, and couldn't give ten shades of * what they say

  14. yeh bruv he's a wheela deela inhe?

  15. Celtic and utd always had a good relationship particularly in the 80s and 90s, nowadays its not as strong though.
Theres a book that explains the connection.

Hillsborough would be the obvious one for liverpool.

  16. Lol, I said I enjoy watching his team, I never said I'd buy a car from him!:56:

  17. :56: Just as well.

Most of their fans are now fair weather fans anyway. They can deny it as much as they like but the most foreign fans follow players rather than the club.
