Broony is a really vital part of what makes the present post-Xmas team tick. Him and Kayal are the heart and drive of this side. I think we should make sure we extent Broony's contract by at least a year or two. That way we keep him for a while, if we sell him we get a decent fee and Broony gets more security. Everybody's happy.

get rid of him soon as possible. Hes been here for years and done nothing , showed no footballing ability whatsover.

Hes played decent in the last few games , played a blinder against rangers and now people are raving about him again ??

Hes not a good football player

It's not been week after week great football from him but he's shown more than enough to be classed as an asset..
If a new contract isn't on the horizon then at least recoup the money spent on him.. Still only mid 20's and with plenty of drive.. Teams will bid for him for certain but if him and Lenny bond like Lenny and Martin O Neil did then I'll be more than happy for Lenny to keep him as our captain..

Still offers a decent amount when he's running at teams with the ball..

As long as hes on the same wage, as it stands hes one of our top earnings so just leave his wage at that but yeah extend it in terms of years.

He's a good RM, was he not being played out of position like a CDM? Since he's back to the position he likes - he's been showing consistency.

Guy plays the exact same way as what Lennon did...on Lennons last season everybody was giving it the 'gtf lennon' and once he was gone we MISSED him....maybe the board/fans will learn from past mistakes, well apart from 'BobbyPetta:97:'

I agree. He has always been really decent at driving forward into space. He just is not the sort of player who you get the best from if you expect him to stay fairly stationary and stroke neat wee passes. He has always been better when space opens up as games go one and players tire but he doesnt. He has always been like 2 players in terms of the shift he does too. I dont think the advantage that brings has been lost on any of the mangers who have the option of him. His best position is on the right of a MF three in a 4-3-3 and our current 4-4-2 with Broony and Common wide is constantly morphing into a 4-3-3. This gets the best out of Broony who is neither a winger or a CM at heart but something in between. I think in the cloth cap days players like him were called 'wing halfs'

If you'd said this before new year I'd have replied we should punt him at the first opportunity and we'll be lucky to get back what we paid for him, but since then he's started to play better than he ever has in a Celtic shirt, hope he can keep it up.

Have to keep him on the right though, still think he's a bit * in the middle of the park, doesn't really have the intelligence or composure to control/dictate the game like a CM should, the way Kayal does.

New 4 year contract for him and a new 2 year with the option of another 2 year for Mark Wilson would be superb.

Brown must stay, I think he could go though as he could probably get £45k a week off someone like Everton/Spurs/Villa and he'll only get about £25k off us.

22 wins in his last 22 League starts is something else and we've only lost twice in the League when he's started, both times against the huns in the last 2 years and 1 month.

He's the one player who gets the team playing with more pace, energy and enthusiasm. When he's missing we struggle especially in the average SPL match against the likes of Motherwell and St Mirren etc

Extend his contract if possible. If he does not want the extension punt now while his value is high.

Had my doubts about him for a long time and would have been happy for him to leave but thoroughly delighted that he's changed my opinion. He's instrumental and the stats speak for themselves. When Broony plays we win. He's an integral part of an excellent midfield and I agree whole heartedly - sign him up!

Agree there. Can anyone remember what he was like in his first 5-6 games?
I do. He was actually showing some pretty good footwork and alot of drive from the midfield.
Now I'm not going to say I'[ve always been Broony grand or Broony shot club. In fairness I wanted rid since last season. But I did see talent when he first arrived. And I also seen how * he has been since then. But! Lennon has seemed to bring out the best in the players EVERYONE got sick of, i.e. Sammy and Broony. ( no one can dispute that.)
So aye, if he can maintain the form he is on, (imo will get better under Lenny), then why not?
But as a fellow Tim said earlier, only if it's on the same wage. Coz the guy is probably our highest earner
