It seems that he may be regretting his decision to leave Celtic already according to the etims rumour mill

 

I don't know about him being out of his mind, but if I had my way I'd kick him out of this forum for a remark like that

just remindin people what he done for us did this many times , he gave us 7 years at the club, the same as henrik gave us and now hes away for another challenge give the guy a break

 

No way can anyone compare the way Henrik left with that wee * petrov, Henrik has more dignity in his little finger than that * has in his whole body. And what about all the games he was posted missing and strolled around the park doing hee haw. Henrik had his quiet games but he could pull us out of a hole with one kick of the ball. As for a challenge he plays for a lesser team in a better league so the only time he'll experience european football is on a games console, I hope he wakes up every day regreting his stupid decision..........* him and * villa

Come on some of you, dont you have short memories? Petrov scored a lot of important goals for us over the years especially in those 1-0 wins. Not to mention his goals against Rangers. I know he become bit of a * in his final year but what about the other 7 years he spent at Celtic? He did help Celtic a lot, scoring in that Scottish Cup Final win over Dunf, helping Celtic to UEFA cup final and so on. I think some fans automatically slag off players that leave Celtic, which is a bit childish and immature.

 

I dont see why there are ill feelings towards Petrov, I believe he is having it tough down there but so are the rest of Villa as a team, they dont get beaten often, then again they dont win often either!
Looking forward to them playing Man Utd, now that will be a test, and I expect Petrov and the rest of the Villa team to fail that test!

 

Petrov gave us some good years. No need to abuse him.

I agree with you. I for one will have mostly great memories of Petrov's 7 years and his many significant contributions during that time. He did in fairness spoil things with his behaviour towards the end and the whole way that happened and that is why he is not in the icon, hero class for me. But he gave us many good years and was a key part in bringing a lot of success to Celtic and for that I will always remember Petrov as a good player for Celtic.
