    Class player good finisher and for such a small guy is very brave and has some leap don't see us splashing out 7 mil but if we did he would score bucket loads up here imo

    I think you're wrong, i've watched Shane at Reading since he joined from Cork along with Doyle, when he first moved to Reading it looked as if he was just there to keep Doyle company because Doyle was obviously already on his way to being the finished article but since Doyle and a couple of others left Reading and he has been given his chance he has come on so well.
    I never thought he would amount to anything when I first saw him, but I got that horribly wrong! He is strong, fast, good in the air and his finishing is now quality. I personally think (or know) he will never come to Celtic because we can't afford him simple as, but he would score sh*t loads in the SPL. I for one would be inclined to put all our money in to bringing him in. Don't forget he's still very young, should only keep getting better so sell on value would hopefully grow and grow. Think he would also do a job in Europe.

    Out of all the players we've been linked with, Shane's the one I want most. With £7million being quoted though, I really cannot see it happening but then, if it was dead in the water, Lenny would have said so & he hasn't.

    Glad i watched lawells interview and didnt go by this quote as PL said he expects one or two to come in but theres still 4 or 5 weeks left of the transfer window to go and theres nothing imminent, he did say lennon was happy with his squad but didnt at any point say the above :50:
