Well the £7m-odd bids from Liverpool, Villa, Bayern etc haven't materialised hope we are still tracking him, he'd be ideal

 

£4m is way too much money for us to spend nowadays - even though Rangers spent that on Jellyfish.

You have to pay for known quality, I know we got Izzy & Kayal - but they were hardly known & proved a great gamble.

Long is a proven striker in a similar league, however it's an expensive league - he'll go for at LEAST £4m & therefore not to us.

I'd offer them the chance to sign odea, loovens, hoovield, murphy, rassmussen.

Say any two plus 2.5m or any 3 plus 1.5m

Saying that,the African striker on trial could be useful and end up signing him for 1.5m.

Hooper for me though is a better player. We could get a far superior player for £4-7m easily.

 

tbh i'd take him for anything under £4m. think he'd improve the strikeforce and i don't think he'll be at Reading when the window closes.

Don't think you're being greedy mate, I'm the same - I'd like to see a target man (in the form of Shane Long) and A. N. Other who would preferably be very pacey.

the only way we will make signing two strikers a slim possibility is if we move along two of; Rasmussen, Murphy or Samaras.

 

It's interesting how all the hype surrounding him has died out. Think he may end up sneaking off to some club for a much lower price than the ridiculous ones that were being bandied about.
