Joe Ledley

He is twice as good as brown

 

I wouldnt play ledley over kayal or brown, just as good as a player as brown, but brown has that extra mentality and motivation for the game, I hate to say this because I think Ledley is a great player and will have a good career because he has the potential to be.

 

Think the two of them along with kayal and brown will all have their part to play before the seasons out. Especially seeing Kayal and brown one booking from a suspension.
Think commons has really opened up the way of playing three midfieders forest is a bit the same as they can almost slot in as a third forward and make it a 4-3-3 at times.

 

Ledley is the player that every team needs and every manager wants. Chooses the right pass, fights for the ball, tracks back, and has little to no ego. I love this player, and I think Lennon is right to rate him highly.

 

Ledleys a great player and is an integral cog in a very strong midfeild..

A lot of debate going on about who should play in midfeild,we really are spoiled for choice its sooooperb!!!!!:icon_mrgreen:

ledley and kayal are forming a great partnership in the centre of the park at the moment and i for one would not split them up for anyone else

 

For me, Ki is a better option than Ledley. He has a better range of passing, a better goal threat and I feel he would compliment Kayal much better.

Brown Ki Kayal Forrest - looks good to me. Commons and McCourt as impact players.

 

Ledley is different to Ki though. Ledley is more like Xavi and Ki is more like Iniesta, although Xavi and Iniesta are loads better obviously but if Bara played 4-4-2 they would play Xavi with Busquets and not Iniesta, it's the same for us we'd play Ledley before Ki imo

Ki takes more risks and is more attacking, fine in a 3 man midfield but Ledley is more stable in a 2-man centre-mid.

I think Kayal is more likely to be took out for Ki, but Kayal has been too good too. As the season goes on though and Kayal is on the verge of suspencions etc then I think we'll see Lennon play Ki at home and Kayal away and rotate them.

It's quite annoying that we have too many midfielders because I want them all to play but it can't happen.

In Europe I would love to see

Brown Kayal Ki Ledley Commons that would be absolute magic. or Forrest instead of Commons. If the huns had these guys that the way they would play imo, because its ideal players for 5 across the middle, we could do it too with Hooper or Samaras as the lone striker but with Hooper and Stokes like the new Cole and Yorke then they wont get broken up.

To be honest, up until the 1-0 game vs Aberdeen, I didn't really appreciate what Ledley did.

He was dropped in that game and Brown and Kayal was the partnership. I don't know if anyone remembers, but the midfield looked really disjointed, we never really got playing and ended up winning narrowly. Aberdeen even had a decent amount of pressure and that was simply because we didn't retain possession very well.

After this game, Ledley has been ever present and the midfield has a great balance, completely controls the game and rarely loses the ball.

I think the Kayal - Ledley partnership, with Brown tracking back from the right has been key to our great performances recently.

Perfect player to have in your team when your down to 10 men. His stamina and workrate was absolutely outstanding today.

 

from the start of the year i have said ledley is a brilliant player and i have stood by that claim, today showed why i did.. great player and i hope he stays with us for a long time.. good man ledley, outstanding performance today..
