    would not want long at all, and i would be flabergasted if we bought him for anywhere near 3 million, his goal scoring record is no doubt worse than lafferty's and he is a joke figure for us ( and rightfully so ..)

    sammon is no better either, remember chris killen had a good season for hibs and we bought him? that turned out well:rolleyes:

    As a Reading fan, i think Shane Long would be a decent signing for Celtic particularly when he's in the form of his career at the moment.

    -Top scorers in the top two divisions in 2010
    -All goals in League, Cup, European and international competition

    I'd say the reason why his goal scoring record has been good this season is down to him being provided by 2 quality Reading wingers: Jimmy Kébe and Jobi McAnuff - both faced pace wingers - similar to Forrest and Commons.


    *Statistics correct of Jan 11th - Long's scored a few more since then.

    being honest i would start him he really is top class and he is near enough to starting with ireland stokesy is just in the squad really but hooper and stokes is a great partnership i just think long at the moment would walk into the team
