We must get Anthony Stokes signed up.
He deserves a four year contract on top wages.

He'll never play for a bigger club

He'll probably get a good signing on fee from some club in the English Championship but it's all down hill for him from here

 

Stokes has been much better in the air since he came back from injury, wins a lot of flick-ons. Just something I've noticed.

 

I think he's always been decent at this at SPL level. Its when he plays against better cbs that he becomes less good aerially

I've no doubt you don't feel appreciated by fans, fellow players and staff, and are deserving of an improved salary - especially given the club's greatly improved financial situation - but unless you're being offered 10 pound a week don't * turn down a contract from your boyhood heroes!

I'll be pretty upset if he goes. We should be having a great summer but if we lose Hooper & Stokes then we're suddenly in a whole heap of * up front.

 

I would like to keep him just hope that his agent is not trying to rip the pish (with the hooper situation) and use to his advantage too much, obviously he would be looking for improved terms etc but if trying for too much Pete won't go for it and there will be one winner then.

 

If Stokes doesn't sign a contract it'll be a loss for Celtic but even more so it'll be a loss for him.

So we are losing Stokes and Hooper. We're fuckkkkkkkkkkked no wonder Lenny is desperate to sign up players like this "Whothefuckisthat" Balde.

 

Hold out for what you`re worth Anthony bhoy. He fully deserves an improved, long term contract. It wouldn`t surprise me if the club where just taking the extra year option on the same terms

id say lennon droping him in every big match will have a huge bearing on his decision, he's every bit as important as hooper in my opinion

 

Football wages are disgusting. Nothing but greed from any of them. None of them deserve the wages they get.

I love Stokes but if he's been offered more than he's on then it's very disappointing he's rejected it. If he goes it will be down. Enjoy your big wage in no mans land of football.

If we still have him for another year it's not so bad but Hooper's definitely offski so we can't go into a new season without a striker. If he's thinking about money he's playing it smart as he'll know that he will become very valuable to us when Hooper moves.

 

Not fussed. I trust the board to offer a fair wage and if he rejects it, then * mend him...

He's simply not good enough to be dicating terms!

Was one of his biggest weaknesses I thought but has improved,deffo not as moany either...

I never found him that moany, always one of those players who have a wee grumble now and again but he's one of the hardest working, unselfish players in the squad.

 

Confident he'll sign, just holding out for more money i guess

 

If something never came off for him,whenever the camera would turn back on him he'd be giving someone pelters :icon_mrgreen:,think I said it on here before that he was like Scott McDonald both loved a moan when it didn't go there way..
I agree he's definitely one of the most unselfish players we have always looking to play someone in,and I'll hold my hands up I wasn't always a big fan of stokesy and the jury's still out whether he can step up at European level but he's come on leaps and bounds and is an important player for us!
