Celtic have a 1year extension option. So he can't be touted about by his agent. I'm pretty certain he will be here nxt year. Hooper will be sold I reckon.

I think he deserves at least a 1 year extension. He isnt brilliant, but he isnt bad either and if we get rid it is likely we would have to spend a million or so to get someone who wouldnt be any more proven or accomplished than he is.

Especially when we have had such a lack of enthusiasm so often this season, you can defend on Stokes to put in a proper shift.

hes nothing special and blows hot and very cold.can be replaced we have become used to strikers being average at celtic since larsson etc,if we were to keep him i wouldnt give him long term deal maybe a year rolling contract etc.

I think he's got a lot going for him actually. He cn drift into space and drop deep pulling defenders around, but when he gets on the ball he's always direct and going for goal. He's got quick feet and isn't bundled off the ball easily. He's a good header and finisher. What more could we want?
Only slight worry is that he looks better with a strike partner than up front alone, but I think he can adapt his game and improve. We should sign him up to a new contract I reckon. If hooper does go, Stokes up front with Johnny Russell in behind him? Plenty of goals there in the SPL at least...

Id argue that although 1m mihgt be his market value he is worth a lot more than that to us, like Sammy too.

Mainly because of their passion for our club

Stokes saved Lennys skin... It's a * shame he has repeatedly failed to show faith in him in so called "big games" against the Oldco and in Europe. That must have had an effect on Stokes mentally.

Stokes our savior again. Lenny has a duty of care and obligation to Stokes for keeping him in a job.

He needs to get a new contract

Worked his * off today when he came on. Stokesy just puts the head down and gets on with it even though he is treated very poorly imo. One of my favourite ever bhoys

Aye, Lennon should be thanking Stokes for potentially keeping him in a job twice now.

Should be starting every game until the end of the season.

Hooper only started to look interested when Stokes came on. That in itself speaks volumes.

Samaras will start in the final ahead of him though.

Took his header well, good striker's goal. Though we might not have needed extra time had he squared it near the end instead of doing his usual greedy cut inside and blast it to absolutely nowhere that you can always count on him doing when we need a goal.

In the interest of fairness and balance I think this is why Lennon doesn't always pick him for big games.

There is no justice if Hooper starts in the final and Stokes does not.

Yet again, Anthony silences the critics and proves his worth to the squad. Second time now in as many years that he has saved Lennon's skin.

That I would agree with, Hooper is a total passenger. Wholly disagree with this idea that he has somehow "saved" the man who took us to the last 16 and beat the greatest team of all time.

Was * fantastic when he came on. You can really see him and Kayal desperately looking for a run in team.

Both of them where everywhere when they came on, constantly showing for the ball and working really hard.
