Samaras and Hooper have ran the huns ragged this year but had poor games yesterday so there was no need to change it. Stokes da should stick to runnung his pub and stop embarressing himself with his stupid signs and keep his * nose out of Celtic's business. If he thinks his boy can find a better team elsewhere then go ahead.

Yes there was need to change it as you put it, and I hold Lennon responsible for not doing so!

Thankfully, it seems that Stokes doesn't want to leave at all.

His dad was speaking directly to the sun when he sayd the pish about stokes being fed up, i am certainly against the media and hate them just as much as the next but this is a journos wet dream and suits the lazy * to a T. Stokesy dad has took the bait and is obv enjoying making the headlines. Even if it meens putting his son in a * of a position. Stoke stated on twitter "Simple as this......GOING NOWHERE" so cleary someones talkin pish and will be found out. Making celtic look like * in the process.

I can understand Lenny's thinking going into the game but if it becomes clear that it isn't working then you've got to have a plan B, as i sat watching the game i kept looking at the clock wandering when Stokes would be brought on, it's madness having a proven goalscorer on the bench and not bringing him on when we are desperate for a goal.

Lennon cant win, if he brought stokes on and he done nothing then ppl would be saying why didnt he put mccourt on, its funny how everyones an expert in hindsight. Lennon done his all tacticly to win the game there was a clear spark missing from the players which was down to each and everyone of them personally. Plus they huns wanted it more than us.

    3 points

1- Lenny was right with every tactical decision yesterday

sammy deserved to start. no question
sub 1- with brown injured - we needed a midfielder on.
sub 2- Rogne was a disaster waiting to happen, Lenny had to pull him
sub 3 - this was the only point stokes could have come on. I believe sammy was causing more problems than hooper, so if stokes was to come on, it would be hooper off. besides, stokes and hooper are more alike than sammy and stokes, so bringing sammy off for stokesy wouldn't be changing much.
commons was out on his feet and was equally as bad as hoops. i think lenny made the right decision at the time as he knew hoops could still pop up with a goal despite playing so bad.

2 - Stokes did not say anything, it was his father. FACT. So people on here saying stokes should shut up should think about that. Stoke's father is not his agent, and has not been his agent for 4 years. If you asked any father after a cup final that their son's team just lost, i'm sure all of them would say they're disappointed their son didn't play and that he could have made a difference.. blame the journalist for making a big story out of it, he's just trying to stir *.

3- Stokes wasn't dropped for a poor game against Rangers, you have to remember he is NOT a winger. Roy Keane, Arsene Wenger and Neil Warnock are previous managers that have fallen into this trap of thinking he is. He simply hasn't got the pace or the skill as a winger. If he plays up front, he scores goals. simple as. he's scored twice against rangers, (and against us too), so nobody can say he doesn't play well in big games or doesn't score in big games when played IN HIS POSITION. For what it's worth, I don't think Lenny trusts him not to get sent off against Rangers. His tackle on Papac in the game he played on the wing was a red, and iirc he was involved with a altercation with whittiger two minutes after coming on last time.

Stokesy should wait his turn on the bench like all squad rotation players. And his Dad should put a cork in it and let his son do the talking on the pitch (when he gets the chance).

Stokes and Hooper need to be our pairing if we are playing two up front, there link up play is the best at the club and there speed of thought is by far superior to Samaras.

If we need to have one up front it has to be Samaras.

There's a reason Stokes is the top scorer and top assister at our club. Play the Bhoy.

His old man is quoted in todays paper saying what what went to press isn't what he said.. At no time did he say Stokes should leave or that he'd told him he wanted out..

Still feel that whatever was said to the sun newspaper probably shouldn't have been.. Just let the boy do his own talking..

I heard this from a guy who actually watched the game from Stokes dad. Said that his Old Yin has already phoned up Neil to assure him that he said nothing of the sort and is considering legal action.

Plus it is such a blatant lie it's unreal, Stokes Dad isn't even his agent :56:

Why doesn't he sue the paper then? If he was wilfully misquoted then he could make a claim for damages against the Sun. The fact that he isn't consulting his lawyers suggests that he said those things and he is having a few regrets about elevating hismelf and his benched son to a level bigger than the club....i can imagine the stick he got in his pub for saying his son "should move on" from Celtic, somehow suggesting his son is bigger than the club. I don't blame him for backtracking now and using the old "i was misquoted" excuse.
Sue them if you were misquoted and stop talking *. Next time, PUT A CORK IN IT and let your son do the talking on the pitch.

Who says he isn't consulting his lawyer? It's blatant lies when has he ever been his sons agent.

He didn't say misquoted he said he didn't say it at all. Which I know for a fact.

Deary deary me. The self-delusions have reached almighty levels in this forum. If Mr. Stokes senior has a problem with the Sun newspaper about what they quoted, he should keep his mouth shut and consult his lawyers, but as we already know, Mr. Stokes senior has a problem keeping his gob shut...

No what should happen is that the tabloids shouldn't be trying to find some controversy because there was none in the game itself.

People shouldn't be believing it as we all know that the Sun speak a crock of *.

Can only see one person who is deluded here.

its simple. if fit you play stokes and hooper upfront together there a deadly partnership. guaranteed goals. samaras cant play upfront with anyone he doest know when to play the ball and has never linked up well with anyone the 3 year hes been here.
