I wouldn't mind seeing hooper and stokes upfront against the huns, give them another headache.

Not sure but I was pleased that when Stokes came on today he didn't seem down or upset. Looked happy to play his part and understands it's a team game.

He came on and wound up a couple of huns within about 30 seconds.

I love Anthony Stokes, him and Celtic are a natural pairing :icon_mrgreen:

Samaras and Hooper works so well against the Huns that I'dplay that everytime if we can. Great partnership and they really unsettle them. Sammi wins everything in the air and does the donkey work and Hooper is there for the killer touch and finish in front of goal. I would bring Stokes back v Motherwell though because he is top scorer.

stokesy can easily be wound up by rangers,as seen in his 5mins on pitch today, id say thats a factor in lennon decisson to go with hooper to partner sammi.

Thing is though, Sammy's contract is done in the summer.

If we want him to extend it - and we * well should after two outstanding performances against the huns - we can't just play him one match in every ten.

Put it this way, if I was busting a gut and playing a blinder in the Old Firm games, and then getting dropped for * Motherwell and Killie, I'd be well * off.

I'm pretty sure Sammy has given them quite a bit of headache this season already.

Stokes had a massive cheeser when he came on, you could tell he was one of us.

    :celt_2:

He will get his chance to start in another Old Firm game eventually and he'll most likely take it. He's been in great form for us this season and there's more goals to come from Stokes, that's for sure.

we could change it for the cup game, feel sorry for him, but the decisions have been justified, as long as he doesnt get dropped for samras next week, im happy, he deserves to be playing

I think you'll find that no matter how frustrated the front man that's missing will feel, they will be genuinely happy for the other to do well. Sammy and Hooper should be the front two until we get better in the Summer anyway.

Your criticism of Stokes over the course of the season just can't be justified, he has contributed assists and is joint top-scorer (according to BBC) despite playing without a partner some games and not starting in the recent Old Firm games.

I love Neil Lennon. I love him the same way we all love him but I really think it's * pish the way he is treating Anthony Stokes. If I was Anthony Stokes I would be really * fed up just now.

Anthony Stokes is our top goalscorer this season. Stokes has a really good partnership going with Gary Hooper and when you see Hooper and Stokes playing together you can see that they bounce off each other and enjoy playing together. But every time it comes to an Old Firm game Stokes gets dumped on the bench and never even gets brought on. I think it's * * the way Neil Lennon is treating Stokes.

Stokes bangs in goals against all the other teams but never gets a chance to do damage against the Huns. Basically the message Neil Lennon is sending to Stokes is "You're good enough to play against the other SPL teams but you're not good enough to play against Rangers". I think that's *. Stokes has banged goals in against the Huns when he played for Hibs so he is well capable of scoring against the Huns.

Samaras is a braindead *, give Anthony Stokes a chance Neil.

If Stokes wants to leave I can't say I blame him. He's our top goalscorer yet he gets dropped for a big penisbrain like Samaras every time the big games come round. If I was Anthony Stokes I would be * off too.

if you were the top scorer for a club, and in the first cup final of the year, when your teams needs a goal and they turn to a * winger instead of you, especially when the two current strikers on the pitch have had about 3 touches all game, would you not be * off?

stokes has every right to be angry with lennon.

Top goalscorer on the bench. That's just stupid.

However right he is to be unhappy the fact is this should not be a public issue it should be between the gaffer and Stokes (if it is indeed true ,we all know what the papers are like!)

He risks being benched for the rest of the season if he starts that pish
