    Nice on bruv'.

Stokesy is and always has been Celtic class. Don't get why people like putting the guy down. He bleeds green and chases the ball all the time.

Sometimes I think 'poor guy must be knackered after chasing the backline the whole game'.

    Mon the hoops!

I wonder how many people would still rather have Samantha in the team than Anthony Stokes. Stokes has scored more goals in the last 3 games than Samaras has scored in the last 12 months.

Well in Stokesy bhoy, keep up the good work lad. :celt_2:

He ran himself into the ground tonight. 90 minutes into the game and he dispossed a Hearts player in the Left Back position.

    Fantastic work rate.

Always knew that he would be good with Hooper. The 2 of them just click and to get what, 5 in 3 is amazing. Can see him and Hoops hitting 30 each this season.

    Massive fan of Stokes.

He's a goal-machine, he creates for his partner and he also has a bit of flair about him, he works his socks off, he's not afraid to shoot or go past a player and he's always in the right place when the ball is being delivered.

That's what makes him so unpredictable, I would hate to be a defender up against Anthony Stokes.

Goal machine. As long as he's playing with a partner up front he score tonnes for us. Looks like he might steal the Golden Boot.

I hold my hands up, i wasnt his biggest fan, was saying he had to get his finger out, thought he looked very poor when hooper was out injured, he looks a completely different player when playing with hooper, delighted with the form and partnership of both!! Keep up the good work kid :icon_mrgreen:

He wasn't * at Hibs he's the only player ever to get more than twenty league goals in the SPL outside of the Old FIrm.

I must confess i didn't really rate Stokes but the guy has been excellent in recent games, his understanding with Hooper is terrific, he has taken his goals really well and his overall attitude and work ethic has been superb, long may it continue :shamrock:

The thing I am realising about Stokes is that despite the bursts of goals he is essentially a '2nd striker', quite different from a real sniffer always on the spot for tap-ins like Hooper. I still over the whole season (rather than the last 3 weeks) have reservations about Stokes individually but he really does compliment Hooper very well as a partnership and playing with Hooper really seems to bring out the best in Stokes. Stokes is kind of like Simon Donnelly in the very successful (but often forgotten) successful partnership with Henke in Wim's year.

That is true, Stokesy was terrific with Hibs. Only wish we had got the first time round when he was with Falkirk.Might not have lost those two leagues then.

This partnership with Hoops is only getting better and better, love watching them link up together. They've both got a little bet against each other I believe, think that showed tonight when Hooper wasn't happy about being brought down when he was clean through. Think Stokesy did say to him that he would have taken the pen anyways. :56:

You're making that up in your head, Donnelly was never in a settled partnership with Henrik and he was never prolific for us either.

Stokes is ten times the player and ten times the goalscorer, his strike ratio is as good as there has ever been in the SPL.

We're lucky to have Hooper and Stokes, just remember how awful it was watching Fortune and Samaras as our two main strikers, that was only twelve months ago !!!
