If stokes has a player for support he will score goals and assist aswell, probably got his confidence knocked after scoring a hat trick the getting benched

When did he show flashes of brilliance? I saw him play down there and at times he showed great potential. You just read stats without even having watched him in England. He scored an absolute wonder-goal for Palace.

And no, I suppose Wenger didn't say he wished he hadn't sold him, but he did liken one of his young players to Stokes in terms of late development, and if he thinks that guy has potential then by association he surely would think Stokes has blossomed into a good player.

I have not read all the previous posts and I dont know all his stats like how many he scored in England etc but I know what I see and thats a technically good player, tidy on the ball and an excellent finisher. He is good enough to be at Celtic.

last point on that. you can be negative on here but as long as the majority agrees with the negative then its fine. as iv said loovens, sammy, murphy and maybe even brown you can call anything you like and nobody bothers about that or cares to even suggest its a negative post but mention a popular player that the majority like and it becomes a negative post?? its a forum (and a great one at that) where we all come to give our opinions. back to stokes.. its my opinion he aint good enough. hope he proves me wrong!!

you talk * man, theres a lot of debates on broon.

and as for loovens and murphy theres a reason no one says anything about it, as many will agree. they are *.

its nothing to do with popularity, it's quality and stokes, my friend has quality.

showed that much potential that sunderland loaned him out twice to 2 teams that neither wanted to buy him and ended up at hibs for hardly nothing?? i dont think so.
so you are saying i was right about wenger then?? he defo didnt say he regretted selling him?? just say that then. you are allowed to be wrong. no shame in saying it. "by association he thinks stokes has blossomed into a good player" . are you putting words into his mouth again as he only said the similarities are they are both late developers???

said it before and illl say it again, no one cares about his record england, as we don't play in england, whereas his record in scotland is brilliant, and if im not mistaken we play in scotland. therefore he's good enough for us.

When he's on form yes, but he's a player that blows hot and cold too often.

You are a * *. No shame in saying it? What I want to say about you would not be allowed by the mods, but I think everyone agrees that you are a...

Im a big fan of Stokes as he's one of our few "bums off seats" players, who has lots of skill and technical ability. He's quite lightweight though for his height and a moody kind of player like McDonald. Can't play up front on his own but when he has a partner hes good, probably the most creative players we have to, spots passes and starts quick moves. Something Celtic strikers need as they work in tight spaces and he has the quality on the ball and quick thought process to do that.
