    Murray's chances have just got a whole lot better. Fancy Djokers to beat Federer too so Andy might never get a better chance.

    If Murray is going to win a Major then I hope beats either Rafa or Federer on the way to doing it. If he wins one without beating one of those two then people will always say 'yeah but he didn't beat one of the big two to do it though'.

    Great performance by Ferrer.

    Shame for Nadal about the injury - but tbh, the injuries he regularly picks up are a direct result of his ultra-high-impact playing style. And if he toned that down, he'd just be another good player, rather than a multi-slamwinner - cos his basic shotmaking is not on the level of a Federer (or a Murray).
    Just got to accept that's the price you pay. He'll be back.

    Muzza not firing on all eight today, but it's good that he's had a bit of a test. If Ferrer can keep up the form he's been showing, he'll be a tough proposition in the semis..

    On another note, it's completely beyond me why they persist in holding this tournament right at the height of the Aussie summer. It becomes more of an endurance test than a tennis competition. The other three slam finals are June, July and September - if they held the Australian around the end of April, beginning of May, the heat would be much more bearable.

    One of the junior players went into full body cramp today - and then got docked a penalty point, time violation for receiving treatment! Crazy.

    True but folk would find a reason anyway to downplay it. If he beats Federer in the final and Federer came through a 5 setter people would say that Federer is just old and tired and not the same.

    Just hope he finally gets the first slam under his belt.

    Great chance for Andy now. It'll be a tough match against Ferrer, especially as he will be on a high after beating Rafa (even though he was injured). But can't take anything away from Ferrer, played well. Hopefully, he gets through and Djokovic beats Federer. Would set it up to be a great final.
