I heard a rumour that Liverpool were supposed to have bid 8,000,000. For him which we are supposed to have accepted. Don't shoot the messenger it's only a rumour folks and it's not 100%

I would * love for Brown to move to Liverpool , we have enough talent to be able to let him move on , and if we could recoup the money paid for him and anything on top that would be a bonus .

I think Brown is an excellent player to have in the squad. He may not be the best CM, but his passion on the pitch is second to none and it encourages others, which I like. This is why I wouldn't want him to leave.

I have heard nothing down here about this link. Brown isn't what we need and would pay no more than 5 million if we were interested.Just one quick point about those saying you never know with Kenny in charge. He has no say in transfers we have Comolli in who suggests the players who are available and if the manager agrees then we go after them. As for the article about Lucas dividing opinion that is a lie. I would say now at least 70% are fully behind Lucas who has being one of our most consistent players for 12 months.

I have nothing against Brown just has not really worked out for him , can remember back when we first got him i thought he would be our new petrov type never worked out at all .

Right now when all our players are fit for me he should not be in the side , we need to play kayal sitting with Ki and Ledley ahead in midfield three, thats the way ahead .

On BBC I think thats an error just as they haven't said Maloney is unavailable. If he isn't in the squad I'd be very surprised and this rumour hasn't turned up on 365 where even the barely believable ones appear.

    Doubt this is true.

Scott Brown has come on a fair bit this year I think. Saying that, a decent bid and it'll be bye-bye Broony!

If we get anything near £8m I'll help him move house.

Sorry mate, but this is way off! The idea of Brown being a better player than Meireles is laughable. Meireles (who cost more than 10 million once add-ons are included, nearer 15 million) is a very good Premiership midfielder with 40-odd caps for Portugal. Brown, who I do rate, is nowhere near that standard. Lucas is a developing player and is given a hard time by a London-based media that doesn't watch enough of him to pass such critical judgement, but he is a considerably better player than Brown in my opinion.

We over-paid for Brown when we signed him and he hasn't developed hugely. He has lost the status of having potential, which reduces his value, although we are in a stronger bargaining position than Hibs were. If we were to get 5 million for Brown it would be a good deal. As I said before, I do rate Brown as a decent Scottish player, but he's not a 10 million pound midfielder by any stretch.

If I was Lennon I'd be looking to progress and build around Kayal and Ki in central midfield, with Brown and Ledley as cover/ options for a 5 man midfield. That said, for the right money (5million) I would be willing to let Brown go and re-invest the money.

If he does go we will miss him. He brings drive and energy to the team that Ki and Ledley dont offer. For all Ki's tidy play he lacks nay sort of drive forward and I would rather keep Brown. Unless we get a silly offer though I suppose

    in a relentless 9-5...
He maybe offers drive and energy, but nothing hardly comes of it... He was rated when he came but has consistantly failed to deliver the goods at Celtic. He makes rash takles and that gets mistaken for passion...

Being given the armband was a mistake as now we have playes like McCourt, Mcginn, Kayal, Juarez, Ledley, Ki, Cha, Ljunberg... I seriously don't believe that broon can keep a place amoung that mixed bag of players... And can he handle that, now he is captain fantastic? I don't think this scenario will bring the best out in wee scott...

If broon played like Kayal did in the old firm then maybe my opinion would change... I want to see him chasing, closing, nipping at peoples heels for 90 minutes... When he came on against Hamilton he had a dig at big Dan and a dig at Paddy... I wasn't impressed. He looked like a school bully way above his station rather than an inspirational captain trying to pull a team together...

I would be disappointed to lose him. Not because he is a great player, but because he has never reached the level he should have.

We haven't lost a game in the league that Scott Brown has played this season. He is a key element in our team.

However I call shenanigans on this deal. Doubt it.
