    I think Paterson's decent with a lot of potential to grow. Wouldn't mind him if he's not too much as a backup right back.

    Back up for every position is obviously a good thing , but it's obvious that the main problem in the starting 11 is central midfield. Badly needs sorted

    If we are linked with Paterson and Wisdom and if it comes to a choice, I would definitely go for Paterson.

    Some people on other forums don't rate Wisdom at all and think he is another Tyler Blackett.

    Griff has score goals everywhere he has been. The majority of the dislike of Griff was because of his public persona.

    At his best Lustig is plenty good enough, I'm not writing him off.

    For sure, but we should always be aiming to improve. Lustig at his best is a good player no doubt, but signing a back up isn't what we should be doing.

    Sign a better player.

    Callum Paterson is 21 years old, scores goals and makes assists. He's also quick and six and started out as a winger/striker.

    He's got an excellent strike on him, and for me it toughens up the defense, without any problems whatsoever.

    He's scored more goals than Ambrose, Boyata and Janko combined. And he's played a lot of games for Scotland under 21's so will know some of the guys already.

    Is anyone ever truelly signed as a backup? Other than goalkeepers I couldn't tell you a single signing we've made as a 'backup'.
