Matty Taylor is an interesting one.

For cheap I'd take a punt, clearly a goalscorer. However Grigg is the more promising and has scored goals in the league above and chances are would do it in the Championship too I reckon.

Then again, he'd cost more. If we brought in a type like that alongside someone more 'exciting' if you like, from the continent then I'd be pleased.

Wouldn't mind Taylor or Grigg these guys are who we should be looking at.

Guys with goalscoring records behind them you know will score goals if they play. That way if they can't develop to the next level they still have resale down South regardless.

Not some of the dross with 1 in 4 records over their entire career we've wasted ridiculous amounts of money on for zero return.

Griffiths, Grigg and Fletcher would not be a bad ending to this window in terms of dealing up front. For me anyway.

Not a massive fan of Fletcher but he has attributes you'd look for in Europe.

I agree but I'm talking only if he accepted around 20k or so.

For that, with no transfer fee involved, I'd be more than willing to give him a chance.

Anywhere near his current salary and he can * off though. Aye.

I want us to be after strikers like Marcus Berg, there has to be a few around.

Scored goals in Europe, experienced and wouldn't cost a bomb. Looking at his record for Sweden and Panathinaikos, he'd be perfect for us.

I'd slap a bid in for Soriano and see if he is interested in a wee change of scenery.

Sound of Music country ain't got * all on the East End of Glasgow.

the lad seems to score goals, all different ones at that. think he would be on a free transfer possibly not entirely sure, he is in the mould of a vardy for sure even similar in his positioning with griff. people seem to think we need a 'different' option up front but i know id rather 2 griff's than a 'target man'

Mouanes Dabbour is the one on the continent I want. Rumours he is already away to Salzburg as well actually but not sure.

Prolific with Grasshoppers in Switzerland and a striker who has a bit if everything.

Seen him live a few times and is a real handful. Would take our options up top to another level, IMO.

Just checked and it's confirmed. Signed for them for 3.5m euros...FFS.

Dissappointed at the links to Norwood, Taylor, Griggs, Robson-Kanu and even Wisdom to an extent. I dont thnk there is any value in them at all.

Lol, took a gamble that you might have said something about vardy at the time so went and had a look....

You can't just judge a player by the level they're at or their age and think there is no value in it. I'd happily take the gamble on grigg or he could easily be another one of those striker that we passed on who ended up going on to be a top player

Then again, he could end up being nothing special. If I felt this was a signing being pushed on to the manager by JP/PL then I'd be worried, but I think it's unlikely to be the case with Rodgers, so I'd be inclined to trust his judgement on this one

I'd take a punt on the two strikers. Griggs and Taylor.

The others I'm not sure on like Mick. Not every player from that level will be a star and although it's worth a punt we need to be careful not to just bloat the squad again.
