    Luca Toni. Just my opinion.

    2nd highest scorer in Serie A last season and would fit Deila's Stromsgodset setup of having a big lump of a striker

    He fits the description from Rae but I think he's talking pish tbh

    I agree. Hence the reason I think the whole thing is bullshit because were not going to pay the money or be able to attract a young well-known striker.

    Just a suggestion to go with all the other names flying around.

    I didn't suggest he would nor did I suggest I don't want a player who the Manager clearly sees as an important player in midfield playing in midfield.

    There's 6 players who are viable options (there's actually more if you include Ambrose, McGregor or any of the younger lads) for central midfield. Why then would we pay 30 grand a week for a backup player in Palacios?

    It's a complete non-starter, which is my point.

    I don't want Palacios and also don't think its a go-er however Ambrose and McGregor shouldn't even be mentioned as viable options for the bank of two. Playing Armstrong or Johansen there has the twin effect of negating their best attributes and also weakening the team further forward.

    They have never shown themselves to be capable in the bank of 2. They cant even get a start in their favoured positions. By preference you mean I'd prefer if an unproven winger and bombscare centre backs weren't included in the discussion for central midfield?

    The rumour of this 'striker' playing in Belgium must be *, because there are no big name ones or even good pedigree ones over there at the moment. Unless I'm missing someone?

    Was going to say it could be Chicharito but he is being linked with double figure moves down in England, so surely a non starter.

    That page who tweeted today claiming to know who it is as well is talking * I imagine, has less than 1k followers, just looking to gain interest no doubt.

    McGregor isn't a winger and Ambrose has played plenty of times at both full back and centre mid with his Country and in Israel.

    Regardless that comment wasn't aimed at you.
