    No need to apologize to me mate :50:

    Dunne has a wealth of experience, and even at the twilight of his career could still offer us plenty in defence - where I still think we lack experience.

    Although not the greatest of players, look at how much Majstorovic offered us.

    Dunne = No

    Given = No

    Ireland = Ireland could be fantastic , should try get him on loan view to buying him if it works out .

    Bannan = We should snap him up could be a very important player for us and a perfect fit for the club.

    Romelu Lukaku.

    A highly, highly out of this world long-shot but he says he wants to go out on loan to a team playing in Champions league (i think).

    If Mourinho doesn't want him in the EPL, then send him the * up here :icon_mrgreen:

    I can't believe most would turn down Dunne, he's an absolute powerhouse of a centre back when he gets going.

    In the 09-10 season he was brilliant when Villa has a pretty excellent defence record, after that he's had a few injuries and stuff but even for Ireland he's been extremely consistent up until the Euro's last year.

    Even as just an option to have would be excellent.

    The injuries Dunne has are long term. Looks like there is no way to fix this injury by playing more football. The guy has hardly been able to train all season, never mind playing.

    A few years ago - it would have been a great piece of business, but i can't see how he would be anything other than a complete disaster. Mulgrew is probably good in their given time and he's certainly a lot more mobile.

    Ireland is a really good player who I'd love to see at Celtic, problem as usual is his wage..

    The problem with Stephen Ireland is that he is a wee *.

    Look at how influential Scott Brown has been for us in the past few season - both on and off the park.

    Dunne could be as, if not more, for the squad - and we may just squeeze the last of the football left in him.

    I wish we could Pad, but it's way more serious than it maybe looks. As he's got older, he's trained less, "bulked up" the front upper body physique and put on body fat, that looked like muscle.

    Basically it causes an imbalance because your upper body gets overworked on the front side and the back and legs can't support it so well. Then the years of training, playing hundreds of games and numerous injuries all add up.

    It'll be interesting to see how he gets on against England, maybe he'll have a blinder.

    If we had to look at Dunne; it should be a pay as you play only.

    We are crying out for experience though.

    I'd still go for Ireland though, he is a wee * but so was Scott Brown and the likes of John Hartson before we got a hold of them.

    It's either that or I am speaking in third person you muppet.

    Richard Dunne hasn't played for a year and before that he was consistently awful for Villa. Likewise for Given.

    Ireland not only lacks the correct attitude to play for Celtic, but he has also been poor, hasn't played regularly either.

    Don't watch the Irish National team,prefer to judge players on their weekly club performances.

    They are poor/past it players, my opening statement is clearly not true, I was using the obvious and, as you say, repeated point in hope someone would provide a logical reason to sign them.

    When Given & Dunne left Man City, that was the time to join us and spend the rest of their careers playing CL football and getting 'decent' wages at the club they support (at least for Given).

    Bannan could be great for us anywhere on the park between Wanyama and Hooper. either in the middle or out wide. i'd prefer him over McClean as he is more versatile.
