i think with him pushed up into the midfeild could benefit us alot, as some of his crosses and set peices are excellent!

could be a big player with alot of assists if he gets a run of games in the midfeild!hes clearly not good enough at defending to be a left back!

    your views?..

Couldn't agree more, a totally different option from the wide men we already have.
Watching the game on Sunday we felt if Mulgrew was playing the ball into Hooper we could have had alot of joy with the ball in those types of areas, the players we have going for the ball like Sammy and Forrest didn't have that killer instinct Hooper has 6 yards out

Decent back-up and a good option to have in the tougher games, he provides good cover on the left, as well as having a wicked cross.

maybe for the more physical games, you cant really see him helping with a counter attack, or if were pushing to get a goal and have to get up the park quickly.

He's not as good as McCourt, Ledley, Maloney, Ljungberg or Forrest. He's slow as * and weak on the ball. If you watch the first half of the match again you'll notice that he sold us short twice. You can expect much more of this if we keep playing him. If he was a bit more mobile, he would be average.

Good delivery like you say. Not any better than Ki though.

Dovetailed well with Emilio, it is worth finding him a slot for his delivery alone which is a major weapon against anyone.

He was excellent against the huns.

He played well for him in the 2nd half but I would watch the game again and look at his first half performance Hammer.

ki is different mate, thats through the middle. Outwide in a game like that on Sunday i think it is a great option to have!

McCourt, Maloney, Forest and Ljunberg are all bring the same thing fast flowing football!great on the counter!we play against 10 men behind the ball every other week, delivery like Mulgrews bring something complety different than the other wide men do!

I've watched the match 3 times. He played a poor pass in the first half which Emilio had to eventually get back and cover.

Apart from that his; passing, crossing, link up play, free kicks and his tracking back were all immaculate. It was a master stoke playing him there against the huns.

I wouldnt mind being on a counter attack and recieving a pass from him, the guy can deliver a good ball.
I agree the jury is still out, but it is indisputable that he offers something different from the small wide men we have, and as a bosman i think he can be good value. Still a young man

Very handy player to have in the squad, thought he played really well against the huns, he's got a bit of dig about him and imo his set-pieces are fantastic.
Couldn't see him fitting in to a 4 man midfield though it would need to be a midfield of 5 imo.

with him and izzy on the flank i think we were far stronger.two of them can attack and can both defend.mulgrews height is also useful

think I'd push Ledley out wide before Mulgrew. But he could be useful in a battle, like against the Huns, tough grounds like ICT, Aberdeen etc.
