I think if we play the way we did yesterday and set up the same, we could do some damage to teams in the EPL

I think this is madness. Ok, for arguments sake...

    Wigan's top 3 players - Rodallega, N'Zogbia, Cleverley
Wolves' top 3 players - Berra, Doyle, Stephen Hunt
West Ham's top 3 players - Parker, Piquionne, Noble

Thats an example of 3 of the proper struggling sides in that League, and any one of those players would walk into our starting line up.

Cole/Upson/Green/Parker - 3 of they 4 would make up their best 3 players and I think probably, Foley and Jarvis are some of Wolves' best too

Hunt? Hmmm. Just because they have some players that would walk into our team doesn't mean that they're better than us. IMO we have a very strong squad.

Surprised to see someone else actually rates him. Should be in the Irish team, ridiculous that McShane and Kilbane are preferred.

i'd say mid table wouldn't be beyond us at the moment, lets face it most teams other than the top 4 wouldnt enjoy coming to celtic park; and i reckon we could beat the likes of wigan, blackburn, wolves, blackpool etc away from home

if celtic did by some miracle make the EPL, we would be challenging for the top spots in 5 years, no doubt about it

Celtic would be in a relegation battle, 16th to 20th. May not be as good as alot of the teams but you just have to look at Blackpool to see that anything can happen in the EPL and if Celtic are lucky enough to stay then players would want to join and could build on that like Stoke have and after a couple of years we be finishing mid table and out of relegation battles.

At the moment what is the prize money for winning/runners up in the SPL?

At the minute, I reckon Man United, Chelsea, Man City, Spurs and Arsenal would all definitely finish above us, but apart from that, we could get anywhere.

Not biased at all or anything of course

around mid-table, we have the talent but as we have seen this season the problem is just getting the team to gel, I think once we do that we can consider ourselves good enough for the top half of the PL

i think about 6th or 7th because im sure we could beat the top 4 but may slip up in other games

Well we'd struggle at the start, but i think we'd probally manage to stay up, just. Then we'd gradually climb up the table season by season, until we became regulars competing for Europe (not the Champions League though.) I think we'd be able to reach around Everton's sort of standard, a good solid team established in the league. Top 4? Doubt we'd ever quite manage it.

It's not realism, it's bullshit. We are not worse than Wigan, Wolves, West Ham, Fulham, Birmingham, Blackburn, West Brom, Blackpool etc. Look at their squads. We are up there with the likes of Stoke.

do you honestly think the likes of Wigan, Wolves and Blackpool are better than us?

just because everyone else believes the hype of the EPL being the best league in the world doesnt mean it is; its laughable that people automatically assume just because the likes of wigan and wolves are in the EPL that they are inherently better than us, i mean some of the games involving the crapper clubs are dreadful

yes with our current squad we'd probably do very well to finish in the top ten but i dont think its realistic to blithely assume we'd be relegated

if celtic had the same resources that the team that finishes bottom of the EPL has i've no doubt that within 5-6 years celtic would be firmly embedded in the top ten if not higher

p.s not having a go at you btw, i just dont neccessarily agree! :50:

Look at some of the individuals Wolves and Wigan have. How entertaining the games are is irrelevant man, they may be some of the lower placed sides but they have some good individuals

The teams we play up here are of league 1 standard ffs, teams down there pass the ball much better than we do, they play combinations and 1 - 2s much better than we do, large majority of the players down there bigger, stronger and have better technique than we do up here. Take the game yesterday for example apparently we played great and we did compared rangers, but in general niether team could string a large amount of passes together in a move, it looked forced whereas take west brom for example passing the ball and playing combinations looks 2nd nature to them.
Look at miller , skippy, and boyd 3 of the best strikers from the spl in recent years , miller before he came to rangers couldnt get a game for derby the worst EPL team ever, skippy and boyd cant hack the * championship for gods sake. We might be able to beat alot of them teams in one of games but imo we wouldn't be able to sustain it throughout a campaign without finding ourselves in a relegation battle.

Miller played almost every game for Derby in the one season mate

and I don't think that Skippy and Boyd aren't good enough for the Champ, Boro are in a mess. They don't create much
