All we get is circa para-phrases like 'dig', 'aggression', 'energy'.

with a fully fit squad he wouldn't make my starting line-up, he has his uses but in general he just doesn't bring enough to the table either attacking or defensively to be in ahead of others..

Criticism his passing is a bit of a myth. He occasionally over hits passes but it's no way as bad as is being made out.

I agree but there is just something about him that our midfield hasn't got and we have missed over the games he hasn't played and alot of people have noticed that.

 

Wouldn't say when he plays we win at times Celtic have * up even when he has been playing.

He functioned in a midfield which was built around him. He came to Celtic and he was asked to play a different role. For £4.4 mio not too much to ask imo. Somehow I get the impression no one really knows what he is supposed to do at CP. Expectations from fans range from attacking midfielder through to sweeper.

I can understand why some people admire him (have stated it recently in another thread, if anybody wants to read it just use the search function). However I prefer modern footballers.

Im by no means a fan of his but the fact we are unbeaten with him show he is a valuable player. A good team needs a " hard man" who may not be technically gifted eg, Carragher at Liverpool, Puyol at Barca & id even say Terry at Chelsea. Darren Fletcher is another example. Im not comparing Brown to them but he has a similar job in grafting & winning balls.

Totally agree,

I just don't see ANY quality in this guy and never have. He thoroughly deserved his red the other night and for me he should never be anywhere near a Celtic shirt and the fact that he is our captain is an utter embarassment.
