    Whilst I didn't think he was as effective in an attacking sense his work rate was fantastic. Hopefully the win will boost his confidence and he will go on to many more starts for the hoops.

    Fitness issue now dead.At the tail end of his 3rd 90min game of the week, he came flying back to clatter Weiss.Worked his socks off today and surely can only be left out for a dip in form now.

    Paddy mccourt is amazing.... i actually seen him punsh bougherra on the side at 1 point... loved it also his tackle on whittaker was unreal we cheered it like a goal! fantastic performance from the derry pele.

    I don't mean to be rude mate, but Messi would be miles away or done what he intended to do with the ball long before the likes of mcculloch and others got near him. We far overhype the physical element of the Scottish game, we merely give players bumps and bruises...

    McCourt was superb. No goal at the end of a mazy run unforunately but yesterday showed how much more he brings to the team that his moments of individual brilliance.

    I've not always been convinced by Paddy. I've always thought he is a great attacker but the lazyness in his game made the rest of the team suffer. However, over the last 3 games he has shown a real hunger and is even starting to track back and stick his foot in. Maybe this is a sign his fitness is getting better.

    the tackle on whittaker was definetly one of the best moments of the game and it came at a time when we were pounding them. brilliant moment.

    Yesterday McCourt played like he HAD to ..... he's a smart guy.

    The charges against him are always he isn't fit, he is a luxury player and his goals (although brilliant) are against the small clubs etc ... He has been on the bench more often than not.

    But on a week when we have brought in another hugely experienced midfielder Paddy got a start at Ibrox.

    We were excellent. He has very good and got stuck right in. Had it been any other way and he had been ineffective in a losing side the critics would have been out again.

    I thought Paddy was given the shirt and played like he wanted to keep it. Was delighted for him and hope that he can kick on .....
