Can he do 3 full games in such a short span? If he can do them, then by all means put him all 90.

Think he merits a first team place on Sunday, think he's got the ability to absolutely cause it if he plays.

completely disagree. hes good at dribbling past st mirren players unchallenged and scoring goals. the fact is the rangers players will actually try to tackle him. its not a one man team. you say its a "fact" that we win if mccourt starts? well mccourt played all of the last old firm game (bar 3 minutes) and had no effect on the game whatsoever.

if he starts he will be singled out for some rough tackles from the usuall manky mob hatchet men, which i feel either put him off his game or out of it.:54:

Paddy didnt come on untill the last 20 mins of that game with the score 3-1 and the game was over as a contest. Also do u not remember the wonderful goal against Hearts at Celtic park, he doesnt just do it against the smaller teams and if he starts on Sunday he will have an impact. I have been watching Paddy since his league of Ireland days and he always had something special. Unfortunately, I also saw him take my local team to the cleaners, he was magnificent:rolleyes:

The thing that worries me, is players like McCulloch will have been told before the match by Walter and Ally to try and break Paddy's leg. If Paddy starts, he won't finish. I picture a stretcher and him out for the rest of the season, and a possible red for McCulloch.

I have a few doubts over how effective he'll be in this fixture - some of these doubts are caused by Paddy himself, other doubts are caused by the huns and their thugs like McCulloch.

These doubts will remain until Sunday, but it would be criminal for Paddy not to start. He simply has to start, it's that simple.

yeah i just checked mccourt played for about 25 mins, i was wrong. what im trying to say is some fans try to makee him out to be as good as messi. we overrate him. just because he starts it doesnt meaan a win is guaranteed like the person who started this thread said. i dont think the huns are saying "oh * paddy mccourt might start on sunday. well thats us * then."

Well to be honest I think Paddy is the closest we have to a player with the same kind of abilities of messi: dribbiling, shooting, passing etc but doesnt face the same quality of player messi faces. Ya there seems to be a lot of expectations for Paddy this weekend if he starts. If he does start, I can see him having a major impact, he brings a new dimension to the team. The ref will also have a major role in the game if paddy starts. I agree mcculloch and others will try to kick padddy out of the game but the ref will need to lay down the law early and get his cards out. We all saw the treatment robbie keane got from mcculloch last year but the * got away with it

we can win if we play positively; we have better players than them. Yes, Ibrox is a daunting place to go for a result but if you want to be considered not just a celtic player but a man, you must stand up and be counted. It's not for the faint hearted. If anybody isn't ready for it then they should say rather than delude themselves into thinking so. Our best players must play. We can win!
