I firmly believe if Paddy McCourt starts against Rangers, we win. Fact. His performances of late highlight the fact that he is, hands down, the best footballer in the SPL. There is no excuse in the world if Lennon chooses to bench him. If he does for so called " tactical" reasons then it's over. Thoughts? I think he's immense.

By far our most creative player and the only one who seems to want to make anything happen. I think he should start IMO especially if it is a 5 man midfield. We could do alot worse.

    If he scores the winner . . . . . . .

The fact that Lenny gave him the day off after the game shows that he might be starting at Ipox. But I worry that he'll be at 50% because of all the games he's played, and he might not rise to the challenge of playing Rangers. He's never really started a big game in his life has he?

But he has to start if we want to have a hope.

Im with you on this one, anyone who leaves their best player on teh bench for tactical reasons is a * fool. When it comes to lennon i always back him 100% but if he drops paddy for this game then he's a fool. Paddy will be well upfor this game and i think he'll give his all, just hope he can be a bit more tough cus them * will be hard on him throughout the game. I really want him to score against the huns even better if its thw winner in th elast few mins.:56:

In no way can Lennon leave McCourt out.

What a potentially massive mistake that would be.

The highlighted line for me says it all about Paddy, talented guy but the fact tht ppl worry about the "all of games he has played" (this being 2 in a row) says it all really.....

Think he will start at Ibrox but I also think we will be lucky to get an hour out of him!

The amount of progress Paddy has made this season has been outstanding. His increase in fitness and determination had lead him so much closer to being the player we all know he can be. He reminds me of McGeady, only with a bit more end product. It's only a matter of time before the Derry Pele gets his wonder goal against the scum. No better time than now! I firmly believe that on the day he leaves Celtic, everyone will be remembering "THAT goal against the scum". It's been predetermined by the stars that Paddy will skin 3 huns before giving it the old chip to score the winner at the Incest Arena. Celtic Legend in the making.

He's been our best and most creative player lately. He deserves a start.

The thing is this time he will get picked becuase he has shown with his performances and attitude over last couple of days he has deserved a crack at the scum. The place would erruptif he scores the winner.

Paddy must start imo but Lenny will point to the fact that he has been ineffective in previous OF games, albeit he is ever only brought on with 20 mins to go.

I think he will start but I don't think he'll score

I want to see him play in a free roll in a 5 man midfeild and just have a go at them,if so I see him doing a fair bit of damage.

I can understand the arguments of the group that wants to start him. But if he only has 40-50 minutes in him, I'd put him on in the 2. half, when the Huns get tired.
