I don't get that impression. What I will agree with you on is that if it really was about Huns being hanged, then that is a banning offence. I'd want to see some evidence of that, though, because in context the interpretation of it being about the death of their former club seems much more likely to me.

I'm pretty sure that's what their banner said, as opposed to the GB one about the flag of war

I just wasn't sure Sean given our previous history :smiley-laughing002:

Yes I do know about dodgy behaviour and far worse :54: at the 'football' but, as I said, whatever happened to them was of no concern to me. But, as I also said, that doesn't mean my opinion now is less worthwhile or relevant than anyone else's.

I don't think anyone wants to see people banned but Saturday has just been the tipping point. Its difficult to know exactly what has happened previously between the Club and the group concerned.

I am assuming its a permanent ban ?

Crass and idiotic stunt. The sash also allows it to be interpreted (rightly or wrongly) as sectarian. Lifetime bans would be harsh. Ban whoever responsible for the rest of the season.

Tims wanting other tims banned because they don't agree with the dolls and KAH banner… Embarrassing.

No. It's embarrassing that there are people defending these things or who are willing to turn a blind eye to it just because it was our side that did it.

If you think a banner saying "Kill all Huns"(I don't even know if said banner existed, I'm only going on what people on here are saying) is acceptable then in my view you're no better than they are.

Of course its embarrassing people are defending these things don't need to tell me that.

That last paragraph is just ridiculous, I don't think its 'acceptable'. Don't know why you're getting all hurt and emotional over this when this whole playground advocation of banning fellow tims for displaying controversal things is just not right. I don't like the dolls or banner so I want them banned, jesus christ. I could understand if there was fighting or a murder fair enough but a banner and dolls * * man.

I no more want to see any Celtic fan banned from Parkhead than anybody else on this forum. And I mean that. But if people do * stupid things and go too far then that I am afraid that is what they risk having happen to them. It's the same for all of us.

For me, anyone who takes a banner into a game that says "Kill all Huns" or that hangs effigies of Sevco fans from the stands is displaying a serious lack of common sense. They're embarrassing themselves but worse than that they are embarrassing the club with their actions. I guess some people just lack the self awareness to know when they have gone too far. But that I'm afraid is not a valid excuse.

Banners like "Know your place Hun scum" I have absolutely no issue with. But the other stuff? Nah, it was too far.

I guess we all have different ideas about where the line between acceptable and unacceptable is. On this occasion I agree with the club.

The dolls was a stupid idea pretty much everyone agrees, but I think banning them for that is too far, a warning would have been good enough.

That being said earlier on in this thread someone was saying they were on more than one occasion shouting abuse and being dicks to fellow fans, that for me is enough to entertain the idea of banning them but not before I had heard their side of the story.

But yea the if the dolls was a one off thing then banning them for that is ludicrous.

The bit in bold sums up my thoughts on it. It amazes me that those people genuinely thought it was okay and funny to hang effigies of huns. Just complete stupidity.
