The coffins were an obvious reference to the events at the time. They were hardly controversial, and the intent couldn't have been misconstrued by even the most cynical of fuckwits.

Blow-up dolls hanging by the neck with their hands tied behind their backs was completely irrelevant though.

Can you imagine if you had lost a loved-one to suicide and you had to stand under THAT for 90 minutes!

It was ill-thought out, had sinister connotations, and was just plain * crass!

If the folk who did it are reading, then please - no repeat!

 

For a display to work at any sporting event it has to be impressive, easily understood and preferably clever. The blow up dolls failed in every respect there.

 

That about sums it up!

 

Taking the moral high ground are they?

 

As someone who owned a blowup doll that decided to kill themselves, I was deeply offended.

 

Couldn't give a * what Sevco fans did... let them disgrace themselves and their club if they want to.

5 years since i stopped ST but for years it was a question of when and not if the cops/stewards would wade in and lift one or a couple of them. I think they treated it as a challenge. Every single home game.

Even the dimmest troglodyte knows it's a reference to their dead club. They're clutching with the Boyd reference just a bit dissapointed that we gave them the chance to be honest....surprised these guys weren't checked by fellow fans before they did it but maybe happened too quick!
